I've been playing video games since the 80s and enjoy a huge variety of genres. I mainly like a/t/cRPGs, sims, games with a narrative focus, racing/driving, fighting, card games (deckbuilders and TCGs), pinball, digital board games, some point-n-clicks, VNs, text-based games, the odd puzzler, and anything with a weird lean to it.
I'm a pretty frugal gamer so I end up playing a lot of older games and indies.
I am usually on mobile and like scrolling the Activity Feed
I enjoy reading user reviews on Steam and this is how I often find new things to play. If you've received a random invite from me and I'm unable to comment on your profile, it's probably because I enjoy your reviews and/or commentary somewhere.
I also like to write reviews but I am pretty trash at it.
I like interacting around other stuff too like books, TV, art, music, and insects.


I don't collect friends and generally won't accept requests from: private accounts, generic accounts with no signs of life, accounts with bans of any kind, people I don't have any mutual connections or groups with, people with new or low number/low game accounts, or children/very young persons (unless you are family). Lastly, if it doesn't seem like we have ANYTHING in common it just doesn't make sense to me.
Comments made on my public feed with my IRL name will be deleted. It's something I prefer to keep private. I appreciate your understanding.
Although sometimes fun and a good pathway to exploring a game, I'm not a rabid achievement hunter. 
I'm not into trading things or clicking on random links. I don't participate in the marketplace unless I am super bored and have my own credit laying around. 
I don't really play multiplayer or co-op games. I am wildly performance-shy and am intimidated by lobby situations *especially* with internet strangers. There are always exceptions to this rule but in general I prefer my own little single-player bubble.
As a continuation of that sentiment: I don't play MOBAs/MMOs/Live Service games or anything that demands all of my attention for the rest of eternity. I just don't have that kind of time anymore.
I am 100% NOT here to hookup. I am here to relax and enjoy one of my favorite hobbies.

I enjoy engaging with Steam and some of its lovely communities but it's not my #1 priority. There may be periods where I become inactive and/or unresponsive. I always come back.
