The porting of this game to console has made it noticeably worse. Somehow, new issues, such as the eyeballs of casualties not wanting to stay in their sockets, have emerged, and this is along with the visual changes VOID has made which make the experience less gritty. On one hand, these visual changes are minimal, only affecting 6 places in different maps along with global post mortem dismemberment. However, they signal a change in direction for VOID, as this is their first time giving in to pressure to minimise the brutality of their game for the sake of profit. Had they simply separated the PC and console version, this would not have been an issue, but the same people at Xbox and PlayStation who decided that the game could not be shipped on their platforms (unlike infamously strict countries like Japan, Germany, Australia...) likely also decided to force VOID into making one version of the game, so that the experience wouldn't be better on PC. Ultimately, the console update does not only represent a negative shift in creative direction, but also in the quality of gameplay, specifically the game's polish (or lack thereof) and its visuals, which have been downgraded. Otherwise, if you can get past the current amount of bugs and the compromising devs, the game is great.
