Dear potential buyer,
Good job for scrolling down to the revews rather than trusting the developers.

First of all, the trailer doesn't show actual gameplay footage, it was made in sfm and it's supposed to show how would the game play out.
If they actually cared to finish it

On launch day, the game was unplayable, full of missing textures, no cutscenes at all and with a massive list of gamebreaking bugs (varying from losing your weapons in between the loading zones, randomly teleporting and sometimes invisible enemies to just straight up crasing for no reason).

You might think "Ok, they rushed the game in order to cash in the hype, it will get patched soon" well my friend, let me tell you that it got delayed 5 TIMES, don't you think that they had enough time to get their stuff together?

The day 1 patch supposedly fixed all of the problems. That's a lie. I got it after the patch and the first cutscene was messed up, there were 4 error signs in the first level and a bunch of missing textures. In addition, most of the bugs were still present.

As an apology for the delays they gave a 10% discount until the 2nd of March. So they basically forced you to buy it now in the unfinished state it is and not to wait until they fix it or else you would lose the discount.

The game itself is bad even without the glitches. I would rate it 2/10, and here is why:

1) The maps are gigantic, empty and boring. Half the time you can't tell where you are supposed to go so you are forced to sprint around until you trigger the next loading zone (this reminds me of Sonic 06 actually)

2) The loading time is horrendous. this can't be fixed because of the map size and the unnesessary high texture resolution

3) The textures, my god the textures. The devs thought that by adding uncompressed 4k textures the game would look like a tripleA game. Here's the thing though, this made the file size extremely large and honestly most of the time you won't notice any difference. As if that wasn't enough, at the Alaska levels the only thing you see is an eye-burning white texture

4) The so called "best part" of the game, the parkour, is badly made and doesn't work unless you bind "holster weapon" to a key (apparently adding an essential keybind was deemed unnessesary)

5) You can skip most of the shooting sections by sprinting and honestly that's the best thing to do as they are boring. Furthermore, most of the time the maps are full of enemy spam as if they were designed by a 10-year-old who makes stages on Mario Maker (seriously how could they mess up the ONE THING that were supposed to do?)

6) The only positive part is the cutscenes but even those are hammered by bad dialogue and extemely edgy voice acting. If you want to watch them yourself, they are already on youtube

7) Most of the new characters are just there in order to fill the cutscenes with exposition, pointless drama and cringy jokes

8) Unnecessary inventory screen that only complicates things

9) Horrible localisation (#HL2_SAVED, #HL2_GAMEOVER_ALLY)

10) It's more expensive than the Orange Box and Black Mesa

11) The tags have nothing to do with the game

12) Much more that would take me all day to list

In order to damage control the fiasco of the release day they banned people with negative comments on discord and posted there an apology that managed to be worse than the one from EA (here's a reddit post with it https://www.reddit.com/r/copypasta/comments/7zxd3h/hunt_down_the_freeman_devs_try_to_damage_control/) needless to say this became the new meme of the entire Half Life community. A new apology was added in the news feed of the game 2 days later. This apology is kinda better as it doesn't have grammatic and spelling errors but it's still not good enough. In it, Frank said that nothing was their fault and that people are "harassing" them and spreading lies.
