One of my all time favourite games. It's received valid criticism and that's fine, but this game I can comfortably sink lots of hours into it. Loved it when I had an Xbox so I bought it again.

I really have no idea why this has so many positive reviews. Skip..

Just spent an hour walking to the train station just to randomly get one tapped. I couldn't do it a third time.. Seriously not worth the time and effort. Game is super promising don't get me wrong, just needs a lot of quality of life updates. Wasting time looking around for quest markers that aren't accurately labelled on the map and the combat feels very clunky but it wasn't bad. There's so much unlootable nothing in the open space around the locations on the map, you may as well walk in a straight line to destinations or else you'd just be wasting time because you'll probably just randomly die and spawn all the way back at solar city. I really wanted to like this game but I'm not enduring the walking sim aspects of the game any longer.

This was a painful 40 minutes.. I was excited to try it after putting it off for months, and I was right to avoid this.

I love Dead Island but holy crap this game is awful. There's so many things that break immersion and just don't make sense. Girl gets bit in the neck but a cutscene shows she got bit in the arm. That's just one of the nit picky things. The game itself is super slow and painful to play, the zombies are way faster and stronger than a healthy peak condition male? Okay.

Simply looks better than it is, it's kind of an inconvenience on it's own.

I desperately want this game to make a comeback, it was so fun clearing all of the missions with randoms and learning all of the mechanics and boss fights.

I feel that this game has a strong combat foundation and possibly with updates + tweaks it could be amazing.
This game will beat you down, bad. But in a good and fun way, it makes you really wanna learn and conquer it. The PvE can be adjusted to be more casual friendly and implement a rank system for PvP.
