2 Hours in opinion.

To be honest I was completely unaware that this game was in development until it popped up in my reccomendations so with just 2 hours in I'll give my opinion.

Probably the one of the things that kind of disapointed me was the stamina bar. Almost everything you do drains it including sneaking araound and crawling which is a bit weird because the MG franchise is a game that's mainly played in a stealth approach and now it feels like the game punishes you when you try to apply those stealth tactics in this game.

Another thing is the constant need to be well fed and hydrated through out the game which kind made me call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on. I mean you play as a soldier who used to be apart of Militaires Sans Frontières before it got sucked into the wormhole and a combat soldier at that so you'd expect them to be conditioned to go awhile without food and water for a bit instead of every ten or so minutes.

Also while on the topic of food/water to keep your player alive I assumed that having this constant need to be well fed and hydrated meant that food and resources would be more easy to find...Unfortunately not, the places where I've had to find the resources to replenish hunger only replenished the amount of energy needed to go and find which was a waste of time. Also you'll find pools of water which would be a relief if they weren't contaminated or if purifying them meant you had to go out of your way to find the stuff to purify it which you'd probably be dead by then or suffer from food poisoning cause you had nothing else to drink.

All in all I may be complaining about this game but if they just make the few adjustments here and there then this could be a nice spinoff from the franchise. The concept is great considering the amount of things you could do in MGS TPP and applying a survival twist to it.

Besides I'd rather Konami make something like this than try to develop another story for the main MGS series without Kojima.
Big Boss has done everything he needed to do, MGS TPP linked the timeline into the original Metal Gear so just leave it be.
