Unravel 2 is a lewd jigsaw puzzle game about a man’s encounter with various lewd ladies!

Assemble an image by rearranging puzzle pieces! Though Unravel 2 looks like a jigsaw puzzle, I think “swippy-swappy” is a more accurate description. Each piece already in place — solving the puzzle is a matter of “swapping” pieces (as opposed to drag-n’-dropping from a “pool” of available pieces). As you complete puzzles, you’ll earn points that are counted towards your “Score”. If you get stuck, you may deplete your score in exchange for hints. After completing a puzzle, you’re treated to one panel from a story. Alternatively, you may view each story (and CG) from “Story Mode” in their entirety.

There are six “stories” to see, each one showcasing a lewd encounter with one or more ladies, and an unnamed, male protagonist. The story is pretty much a sex-scene with a few paragraphs of dialogue — they’re straight to the point.

The titlescreen is nicely arranged, but the user-interface is a mess. It’s possible to interact with the main menu while playing the game, producing annoying “pop-ups”. From “Settings” you may adjust audio and display preferences. Unlocked CGs can be viewed from the “Gallery”, but the same images can be seen from “Story Mode”. At no point can the user-interface be hidden.

- The Goods -
There are eighty-eight (static) CGs to see — not bad at all! Not all of them feature nudity or sexual content (but the vast majority do!) Unravel 2 offers a selection of basic sexual intercourse between one or more characters. There’s orgies with two ladies, and one two dudes. Sex on the beach, in the shower, and in the club. . . what more can you ask for? The adult content is rendered with 3D models, and the renders themselves are very high-quality. I don’t remember seeing any visual errors.

Wait for a sale. Unravel 2 is a mediocre puzzle game with great artwork. Due to the awkward shape of each piece, it’s difficult to grab the one you want; oftentimes I’d grab a nearby piece. There is no save system, which is rather detrimental to a game with hundred-piece puzzles. However, if you really like puzzles, this game will keep you challenged for hours on end! If not, it’s still worth picking this game up for the “story”. Overall, Unravel 2 looks and feels like a bad, premade game (with solid artwork). It’s worth a few bucks, but it could use some work.
