UPD: Most issues fixed, so changing to positive, game's good

I love Under Night so much and it's just hearthbreaking to get such horrible release which was so highly anticipated. Random game crashes, and online doesn't work properly. There is still steam download region lock, disconnects at the start of the game every time and so on and so on.

I will change review to positive if multiplayer is fixed.

Didn't play souls games before so this is my first, the setting sold it to me. It was definetely very high entry threshold but once it clicked it clicked. The game is hard but there is also plenty of options to make it easier if you want (summons, throwables, certain upgrades and builds...). Very fun game in general and yeah, story, setting and lore are simply amazing if you like steampunk and victorian horror vibes.

Probably best installment of Ace Attorney series. The cases are good, the characters are good, the story is interesting.
Only downside is dragged out investigation phase which is boring, but this can be said about all Ace Attorney games.

I expected so much from Kodaka + Uchikoshi duo but this game... is a miss. Even if the story is good (which I don't know because I couldn't cope enough to finish it) the cast of children characters is really questionable and the gameplay is honestly just bad.

I don't like Uchikoshi's writing style honestly but I gonna give it a thumb up because it's hard to argue that games are good in what they do. Just ignore ZTD and you'll be fine.

It's okay if you treat is as comedy game and some fan novel about first 2 games.

it's starting very strong and you be like "oh is it actually best zero escape game?" but the plot and twists are so incredibly bad that it ruins the whole thing.

Not sure I can ever trust Uchikoshi again with a decent writing.

Disco Elysium is a masterpiece. What else to say? Such games are very rare, the experience they provide is 1 in a million. This game made me cry, laugh and wanting for more. Absolutely beautiful, deep and going beyond video gaming experience.

Paradise Killer is closest we can get to actual "investigation simulator" but the execution is still far from perfect.

Pros:
- a e s t h e t i c
- bizzare unique lore and character cast
- the murder mystery itself
- unique way to end a mystery story with full player agency which I haven't seen in "investigation" games before

Cons:
- gameplay loop starts really strong but quickly becomes a burden, because the open world is not interesting enough to explore it for the sake of exploring.
- characters behavior is basically "I didn't do it lmao" even if you shove tons of evidence in their face and it's not going anywhere
- the unique full agency way to end the game I mentioned before comes with a downside - it feels really anticlimactic

Overall I would recommend this game at least for the unique experience it offers, a decent game overall.

Bittersweet wholesome story. The characters are loveable and cute, the writing is decent, the visuals are nice. Not the biggest fan of teenage drama stories, but I liked this one. The minigames and interactive elements are fun and just perfectly implemented. It's honestly just a lot of unique small things here and there that makes this game memorable.

The OST is banging and trully a highlight of the game.

Not much variety or reason to play it again for me personally though, but good experience overall.

I don't remember last time singe player game hooked me so much, that I would instantly start new playtrough after finishing first one. There is just so much you can do in this game, both narrative wise and mechanical wise if you will to delve into DnD 5e mechanics.

I won't say the game is perfect, of course there are tons of bug, act 3 is a bit unpolished (still my favorite though), some character routes are better than others and infamous "evil" route is a lackluster. However, all of this doesn't really affect my enjoyment because positive aspects of the game heavily outweights the faults.

That being said, I give game 9/10 and when "definitive edition" or something drops it will easily be the best game I've ever played probably.
