I have a love-hate relationship with this game. While the gameplay is good, graphics are nice, the story was very dull and bad, I got bored halfway through the game, and the worst part, it ended badly. I still don't know how to rate this game, it is not entirely bad, but some aspects will get you and leave you with a bad mood.

First of all the voice overs, they are very limited and badly done. Most of the game has no voices, even the beginning of the bonus chapter was very quiet! No music, no one speaks and there are no sound effects too!
The music was way too repetitive for my taste, and the journal was good and useful at times.

Thankfully there is a fast traveling map since the game requires you to backtrack a lot to finish an objective. The hidden object scenes were very well done, I enjoyed this part of the game along with the mini-games, however, if you are after full achievements, you'll find this game VERY challenging due the timed achievements which require you to finish puzzles in less than 40 seconds and the other one in less than 70 second. I failed in both and in order to get those I have to restart the game all over again (Which I didn't do), instead I found a thread in the discussion area implying that people were trying to get those achievements, it was very frustrating because those puzzles are near the end of the game, you'll have to play the four hours gameplay to 'try your luck' with the puzzles. There is an alternative method which you can do is backing up your save file and keep on trying this puzzle until the achievement pops up. (Good luck)

+Steam achievements. (You must read the guide section+Discussion, there are some timed achievements)
+Collectibles.

Cons:
-Limited voice overs.
-Not good story (Ended badly)
-Repetitive music.
-Average boring story.
-No replay value.

The bonus chapter was extra boring. I still don't know if I want to recommend this one or not. But I'll give it thumb sideways. Play it if you can ignore the story and enjoy the hidden object scenes which this game is full with. The puzzles were fun too if you don't care much about the achievements. This is the first game of the series, I hope they improved the next two games which are already out. Don't pay full price for this, and don't pick it up if this is your first hidden object game.
