This is an absolutely heartrending piece of art that, if you have the fortitude to play, you absolutely should experience. It's helped me process my own trauma in a way. The creator is beyond brave in publishing this, and words fail to adequately capture the experience. Just... go try it, if you can handle it.

So I just finished the first murder case on my new game, and decided my detective would celebrate by getting utterly trashed. I entered a bar on the exact moment of close, as in the barkeep literally walked out as I walked in, but he'd locked the door before registering I was even there.
After plundering the bar, downing two Gemsteaders and two bottles of wine, I left with two bottles of bourbon and one wodka to finish in the street. When emptying the bottles, I just chucked them randomly in the street (because, c'mon, would you clean up properly if you were that trashy and that trashed?), and happened to hit a guy square in the face. He came for me with a knife, and when I ran away I realised he couldn't hit me because I was swaying about so much. I was literally too drunk to run in a straight line and that made it impossible for me to stab him.

This game taught me the powers of drunk-jutsu, 10/10.

Continuing my streak of being a Certified Bad Opinion Haver, I honestly really enjoy the direction Paradox has taken with the war system. I'd go so far as to say that the combat mechanics specifically are the second best in the PDX GSG genre after HOI4's (and HOI4 mechanics would just not suit this game), and the overall war mechanic as a diplomatic play is the most engaging war system in any Paradox game.

If you're like me and prefer making economy go brr instead of playing whack-a-mole with unit stacks, would recommend. If you play GSG's for the war aspects, you might wanna give this a pass or wait a bit.

Overall, 9/10, one point subtracted for there only being two tiers of mining machines, that's really my only complaint.

this game let me bully conservatives into supporting women's rights and threaten conservatives into supporting public healthcare, 10/10

If you're looking for a city-builder, I'd suggest looking elsewhere, but it's pretty solid for a politics simulator.

i've only played it a little bit but it's ok so far

The only RPG that actually got me roleplaying, and nothing's gotten repetitive so far!
