Played 15h straight after buying it. Not easy to start off but if you pay enough attention to the details around you, there is a lot of stuff to find and figure out. There seems to be plenty of content left after the initial game mode, which I consider an extended tutorial.

No bugs so far, other than some translation and localisation issues, which I hope will be fixed, eventually.

I have no clue what I´m doing but I am enjoying myself very much.

hobo souls...has a lot more depth than you will recognise early on. The daily struggle / grind is not for everyone, though.

One of my most frustrating purchases on steam ever. I really tried to like this game...the base game feel empty and unfinished due to lack of capital ships and limited number of sectors so I decided to buy the dlcs and also complement with some mods...mainly ship mods to overcome the limited number of ship designs that each of the faction has available. With my initial issues being addressed (ish), I have now built a few stations, got a trade and mining fleet, some battle ships as well and this only really revealed the true issues that this game has. the in sector vs out of sector difference in battle performance is absolute bonkers (basically it results in you not wanting to be involved in the actual fight as otherwise your ships won´t be able to deal with ♥♥♥♥) as well as the the rather poor optimization results in ridiculous loading (and saving) times and an overall perception of you not really being able to make progress in reasonable amount of time.

80 EUR total for the base game and two dlcs feels like a proper rip off.

great game...you´ll need some mods though to address some of the challenges of this being a beta release. There are a fair amount of updates being released every few days or so. Unfortunately it is causing a few challenges if you have ~20 mods enabled that you cannot update via steam workshop so the biggest CON for me at the moment is the missing steam workshop.

It´s well worth the money...even at full price.

got thousands of hours into Diablo series, Grim Dawn and POE. Wolcen just cannot compete in any way with aforementioned titles. Got bored after just 5h due to lack of complexity and progression potential.

update as of June 2021 after playing Bloodstorm Part 2 for ~12h: I actually like the new end game concept a lot. Still lost interest again until further notice, though.

1400h in...still haven´t managed to see the endgame, despite my constant efforts. Is it depressing? ♥♥♥♥ depressing...challenge accepted!

update: 2200h in I finally made it through most of the content. Game is awesome even though I couldn´t really get excited about the latest league so I´m kinda waiting for the next one before playing again.

So I bought this game about one and a half years ago purely because its overwhelmingly positive reviews. The price seemed a little too high at first but I gave it a shot anyway. I played like 4h before I tried to get a refund...in hindsight I wasn´t patient enough as game start feels really really slow but overwhelming at the same time.
18 months down the line I eventually ran out of stuff to play so I decided to give Factorio another try and what can I say...I played like 400h in about 4 weeks (~150h went into the first playthrough), pulled a couple of all nighters aiming for a mega-base being able to send a rocket to space once every minute (as "rockets per minute" is one way to measure your success ingame). This game is about constant problem solving, kills time faster than anything I played before and it will occasionally screw your mind but it´s a great game, 100% worth the 20 bucks!

This game needs some serious work to be done...had "fun" for like 10h though.
