Silly, morbid and geared specifically for anti-platformers with a dark sense of humor. Just remember this about your sacrificed men, they were all asking for it.

It's a fun, semi-tactical shooter with decent AI compatriots that impressively follow orders, usually. I've never played multiplayer so single player is my only experience.

I just finished the game before the recent 02/2024 "enemy Nerf" patch came in and I do agree it definitely dumbs down the opposition, but I see why the devs implemented it. They have to make money and a "John Wick" enemy is not going to attract new players that aren't accustomed to Hardcore Games. That being said, I do miss the cold, heart-racing experience of busting open a door with the team knowing that absolute Hell might be on the other side. That's now gone.

Either way, I've enjoyed the 86 hours I've played and plan to continue more.

It's probably the funnest shooter I've ever played. Unfortunately, I'm 51 and don't have the reflexes required to play it well, but it is fun as hell. I can't beat the last boss on Normal, but I'm trying.

Pretty cool, simplistic game with humor and satire of the RPG genre. It's kind of like if "Fable" had a smaller design budget, but stretched that money out as far as they could go. I dig it.

Early Access Review
Cool game if you're into the whole WW1 thing. Bolt action rifles and manual reloading the next round adds a whole new spectrum. Sure, the lobbys aren't overflowing with folks but I think that'll change once this game finds it's audience. Only played 4 hours so far and it was a pretty neat experience.

Sweet game if you're the type for it. Your character wakes up hungover in his underwear and it goes downhill (in a good way) from there.

Good maps with a lot of early war equipment and it's broken up into bite sized pieces so the campaign never drags. Also, there is no such thing as a lousy Grav Tac DLC.

Pretty decent zombie themed puzzle type game that totally makes me think of Lemmings. I never actually played the game "Lemmings" but I've seen enough democrat voters to get the idea.

Pretty decent simulation that attempts (bravely) to fill an extremely niche market. If you were the guy playing, say, Red Orchestra 2 who mainly liked to play Commander, hang back, order your folks around and drop ordnance on the other team's folk's heads then this might be up your alley. Not to say this game is anywhere near as cool as RO2 was by any stretch but, really, what game is? It may not be ultra-realistic like I know some buyers were hoping, but it does simulate some chaos of battle as in trying to figure out where the hell your men are as well as the enemy so's not to drop arty on your own troop's heads (totally did that, got the achievement) and where and when to call in medevacs and air strikes.

All in all, the learning curve isn't too bad and the game isn't too pricey for what it is, and it is indeed a unique game type, especially since it's Vietnam war based which makes it an oddity in and of itself.

My only minor complaint is some of the "hokiness" of the throw away story and the tacked-on radio chatter concerning nothing of any real importance, but that's minor and I do get what the devs were trying to do there.
