Some times you gotta wonder who the real goose in our life is. Is it our parents, the ones who were responsible for raising us and instilling a good moral foundation? Is it our educators, the ones who were supposed to ensure that we were informed of essential knowledge to be integrated into our society? Or was the goose just ourselves all along? Maybe the goose is really more like a pelican, destined to sift through the ocean of despair that we call home. In the end, everyone is the goose. What matters is not what we are; what matters is what we do when the role of the goose is forced upon us.

I dream of becoming a carrot. When I'm home alone I dig holes in the backyard and stand in them, put lettuce on top of my head from sun up to sun down. I would steal sun tan spray from stores and use it until I turned a bright orange. People tell me it's impossible for me to be a carrot but I know I can be anything I want to be
