I Love this game! The Fun! The people! THE MEMES! It is great and fantastic and amazing.
Too bad it is being driven into the ground by Sony because of some suspended requirement.
I know nothing I say here counts but it is me letting out my heartfelt sorrow at the impending death of one of the most amazing games I have ever played.
Arrowhead! Thank you! You did great. No one is going to hold you accountable because Sony probably forced the issue with the Exclusive contract they gave you and are holding it over your head like the executioner's axe.
If I could get a refund I would but because of the changes in the policy here at Steam that isn't gonna happen.
Well Played Sony. You don't have to pay back any of the money that you already got from us.

In case you are wondering I do have a PSN account from like the PS2 days...i dont remember when i got it, but I went hardcore PC Gamer and gave up on consoles. That was a very deep and personal Choice...not really.
Sony, after everything recently with Stellar Blade and now this...all i can say is may you live in interesting times. Good luck You are going to need it.

FUN

it is simple and variable difficulty. A good way to get back into playing chess.

Turn based and like the old Tabletop game. It is fun and the difficulty is challenging at times but it is a good addition to the Battletech/Mechwarrior Universe.

Good old fun

I took a 5 year break but just came back to this game when I saw it on steam. This is the quintessential Mechwarrior game out today. I have played all of them from the tabletop and Inception of the Cresent Hawks to MechCommander, Battle Tech and now this game. This has always been one of my favorite universes to play in.

This game wont disappoint and it is easy to start playing with the trial mechs.
The flips side though is that it has a steep learning curve when it comes to mech loadouts. Such as what will work and won't. There is a meta but it is not some strict god rolled perfect build. It is flexible and you can pick it up really quick. Especially the Skill tree. There is strategy to playing this game that you wont learn until you play it and try them. Like Turning to the side to shield your core.

Each Mech has its pros and cons and your skill in piloting the Mech is what will make you or break you in a match. I wont say it is PTW, because even the Mechs you can buy with MC will still go down in a molten blaze of glory if you dont have a good loadout or you walk int 4 Assault mechs from the opposing team by yourself or you just plain suck. I dont think a New player should spend money until they get used to the game some and then focus on a specific Mech to use and build your skills in. Feel free to try as many as you like but dont blow money on a mech you will play once and get discouraged when you can't win or you die a lot.

It is a game and it is a blast. Dont take it or yourself too seriously.

Really good game. Fun and challenging as you progress through the story. The flexibility of the World Tier system makes for a broader method of dealing with difficult content as you play through and can be used to Farm. The activities for endgame seem pretty well thought out as well.

1 month later: I still like the game but i got burnt out grinding for gear. RNG hates me and i Never get what I need. It also has a lot of issues publicly, but it hasn't affected me personally so I just hope it stays that way. The grind for gear with the right specs is brutal to say the least. I have found maybe 3 that are what I am looking for, and that is only for one character.It is still a great game and I intend to keep playing once i recover.

The game could be good but it is full of people who are psychopaths and closet serial killers. In short everyone is out to kill you. That means trying to complete PVE content is nearly impossible because of the PVP aspect of the game. You also have no real support from the Corporations and they want you to dump everything you have into their Corp so it grows and drain you dry. This game was a HUGE waste of time and is a huge money sink.
