No problem. I'm sometimes up for a serious challenge. Just depends on the mood I'm in. Is Mean Streets the one to start with? I remember trying to play one of them (don't remember which one) but didn't stick with it long. I feel like I will never get caught up on my backlog.

A real world problem with a dryer is taking up the majority of my free time at the moment. I'm about ready to just buy a new one, but they're so damn expensive for something that heats up your clothes and tumbles them about a bit.

Hell, man. I was warning you about what a slog it is to get through. - Was just curious if
you actually made the excruciating trek. Very few in todays' world can tolerate it. When I
tried replaying just a couple of years ago I only lasted a couple of days. Was even more
work than I remembered.

- What makes it so unusual is that it was a very early bridge between pure text ONLY
adventures (which is all we had except for entries like Pong and Space Invaders) being
combined with Gfx, and actual recorded sound, and not the 'beeps' and 'buzzes' limited
by early procs.

Later Tex arrivals are great, but the one following this - Martian Memorandum is a
primitive point and click room-hunt, ruining what was originally a pretty good story

The guy who plays Tex - Chris Jones made the series popular with great scripts and
clever tongue-in-cheek delivery of a jaded yet bumbling private eye just trying to get
his rent paid. - First entry of Chris is in Under a Killing Moon, and stars in the rest of
the series. - Not an 'action' game at all.- 3D environments very slow moving thoughtful
experience.

If I didn't have 700 other games that need playing, I might check it out. Can't promise anything though. I got a lot of games through huge bundle sales, thinking "I'll get around to those soon..." and 10 years later, here we are.

Real old-school, one of the first "animated" text-adventures featuring 'REAL Sound'.
"Actual voices coming from your PC speaker !" - Had to keep a notebook to get
through the game - it was a real grind but had a classic story and great characters.
This first in the series was way before Chris Jones acted in the role as Tex.

The reason I asked is that it takes a really patient, methodical, somewhat analytical
and determined person to make it through that game. Some really hated it, I thought
the show was worth the ride.
