Early Access Review
Amazing game, unique and interesting idea that makes for engaging gameplay. Some more variety in terms of assets would be nice, so that different regions can be made more unique from one another, but for an Early Access game there's plenty there to enjoy. Looking forward to future updates, especially the introduction of world PvP and Dungeons. Definitely recommend for anyone interested in these types of games, especially those with an interest in creating/balancing the skills and attributes of the classes and mobs.

Early Access Review
A rough game, but with great fundamentals. The combat is fluid and feels responsive, there is no doubt that it's one of the best melee systems in any survival game out there. In terms of skill cap it's limited, but given the core of the game centering around the survival elements that's not a major issue. The skill cap does its job, which is allowing smaller groups of more skilled players to deal with larger groups of less skilled players. A group of 4 or 5 skilled players from a game like Warband should have no problem dealing with ~10 survival game players. At a certain point numbers become so great that weapons like ballistae and repeater turrets become the best choice of weapon, but the majority of players are unlikely to experience battles of such a size with any regularity. For most of your gametime it is your melee ability which will allow you to excel - you can quickly acquire a vast amount of resources by attacking other walkers, defeating the players, breaking open their chests and burning their hull to access the goods inside. That, at least from my perspective, appears to be where the game excels - the small groups of players battling it out in chases with their walkers, tying one another's vehicles down and engaging in a skill-based melee to determine who gets the resources. No other survival game does this as well as Last Oasis.

The game is in Early Access and alleges to be in an Early Alpha stage, so the lack of very far-end content and progression is to be expected. That said, there is enough depth in the technology tree and in equipment making to last several dozens of hours. Beyond that, the melee is satisfying enough to keep you playing for even longer.

Definitely recommend this to fans of Mount & Blade or survival games in general, since the approach of a mobile base suits itself much more to an aggressive playstyle, essentially resulting in you wagering your own resources and equipment in every attack with the winner taking all. I'm not usually a huge fan of survival games because I find the combat unsatisfying or lacking in skill and find having to tie yourself to a piece of land with a stationary base limiting. This game overcomes both of those challenges.

Pls add inverse attack direction too :)

Early Access Review
I have 6000 hours in Warband as well as 100+ from the Alpha and Beta tests of Bannerlord. I love Mount & Blade games, but I can't recommend Bannerlord at the moment. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and I hope that throughout Early Access the game will improve to be the game we all want it to be, but right now it isn't. The Multiplayer is a significant downgrade on Warband, with poor networking, dumbed down combat, overworked damage formulas, clunky movement, attack delays and restrictions of player freedom like the class system. For me, the Multiplayer of Warband was where I spent most of my time, so it is a shame to see Bannerlord's Multiplayer in this state.

The Singleplayer is, for the most part, enjoyable. That said, there appears to be a significant lack of content for the time that the game has been in development. There are only a few pieces of armour for each slot per culture, with many re-using or sharing assets (particularly in the troop trees). Additionally, there are 8-10 generic quests repeated throughout all of the areas of the map, with different ones for towns and villages. There is also a main storyline and a few unique parts, but for the most part the content is copy-pasted everywhere across the map. Unique scenes are few and far between, with most villages for each culture being identical and with limited variety across the board. Frankly, I do not know what TaleWorlds have spent the last 8 years on, because I do not see close to 8 years of work in the game. There are mods for Warband that add more items, quests, features and flesh out the game to a far greater extent than Bannerlord does. They should have taken more time to complete the game to a good standard rather than releasing it in this state.

I can see mods for this game being fantastic. In Multiplayer, Mercs or cRPG type mods that improve customisation and offer progression will probably be immensely popular - as they were in Warband - and I look forward to playing those. I'm sure there will also be many fantastic Singleplayer mods that completely transform the game experience.

There are a huge number of bugs and glitches, including several that simply make your game crash. I have already had to restart a SP save because I encountered a bug which made it impossible to continue with that character due to it crashing my game repeatedly. I have crashed multiple times in MP too, particularly in the siege mode.

I'm sure I'll change this review to positive at some point, but right now the game isn't worth the full price.
