I like rail and generally passenger service sims. I have the other train sims but i'm not as familiar with the Japanese rail games which i gather are very popular in Japan. So it's nice to see this available on Steam. I was interested in the video footage approach which is used here. It's a good job there is a (short) demo available which i tried before and i'm glad i did because i think it all works quite well. It's not as clumsy looking as i thought it might be, like those old films where real footage is used when they are driving for example and the car is in an actual studio. Footage does speed up and down depending on your actual speed so it keeps in sync but it is not as noticeable as you may think.
You are assessed on various aspects of your driving with penalties for speeding and being late etc and rewards given that are often write ups and pictures of the area. I've done all lines now and have enjoyed what I've experienced. Some nice scenery here too.
It is pricey for what you get but there was a fairly good discount through the recent sale event which i took advantage of. Hopefully we may get more of these Japanese Rail sims.
