This game reminds you of what "fun" is supposed to feel like.

Minimum effort. You can get this and more on the workshop or mods.

THE DLC LETS YOU BUY LAND EXPANSIONS, WHICH ARE EMPTY, THE GAME SELLS YOU WATER.

Update:

They finally added the "features" that were supposed to be out on release date, guess they thought no one would notice.

They boke the game. Again, with the Island dlc. Each update is riddled with bugs. The game is past its 1.0 and still they introduce game breaking bugs.

You can really feel the difference of quality and effort when paradox took over, and its most definitley is lacking.

The fact that they didnt fix it by the 2nd title makes it even worse.

Artificial difficulty and horrible hitboxes.

Loving the game. Make sure you meet the specs, watch a review or gameplay make up your own mind. This game is not like something else, that is to say its not like total war with x. Is a new paradox game that try to incorporate as many mechanics from their very polished games into a new era of conquest.
Beware of review bombing, and look at what the reviewers are playing and how much time they have played. You need at least 5-10 hours in paradox games to even get the hang of the UI and the game mechanics, basically the tutorial. If you like complex games of grand strategy, you are looking at it. You will need more than 2 hours to see if you like the game so if your on the fence, watch one of thousands of youtube videos of lets plays imperator rome. Make sure you not only meet the requirements but exceed them a bit as this game is a simulatory experience and used large amounts of your CPU.

Beware of reviews with .6 hours. This game is a great ww2 fps. This is not squad, this is Post Scriptum. The sound alone is worth it, the tank ballistics look fantastic awell as the explosions.

Awesome program. If youre looking for live and interactive wallpapers.

Very good strategic resourse managment, diplomacy, city builder amongs other things. A well developed and rounded game. One of the best economic simimulataion and 4x I have played. I highly reccomed its experiance.
