The game was about what I expected, but it still pleasantly surprised me in plenty of ways. As many have already noted, rather than aim for shock value as Doom's I & III did, this game decided to shoot for all-out ridiculousness, whcih they nailed perfectly to a T. To that end, they went back to the rapidly-paced style of combat the Doom games are famous for, adding in extra blood and gore and tons of secrets as a nice bonus. This latest installement didn't have all that many "wow" moments, but the few it did have were enough to impress me.

While the campaign was tons of fun, multiplayer feels a bit repetitive and confined to small maps while also lacking in gameplay strategy and customizeability for weapon mods. That being said, you have to constantly be on your toes while playing online, so it's hard to be lulled to sleep with boredom.

Great game, all in all, with oodles of challenging scenarios and an endless supply of blood to sate my inner demons. 4.4/5 stars from me.

The first time I played this game, I really felt like I was Lee Everett, making really tough decisions and experiencing his somber melancholy all the way to the through. Every time I play this game now, I still feel the emotion evoked in the voice talents and drama. Such a beautiful game. Thank you, Telltale Games. Don't stop making such memorable adventures! Maybe one day, when I become a talented game designer, I can collaborate my already-honed creativity in storytelling with your company.

With several side missions, wacky outfits and gear, and kooky craftable items, this hilarious comedic mash-up of an otherwise serious fantasy adventure is fun for the whole family. It'll make you chuckle every time you play it!
