Having been a long time fan of Forza series, I had high expectations for this version. However, this game has several problems that make me question why it was released this way.

On the positive side: Screens load quickly. A controller works very well with it. The practices and races are intense. There's ample skill levels to satisfy every player.

On the negative side:
I had to spend a full day learning about the settings and running benchmarks to get it working smoothly.

Every 2nd or 3rd race in career (all I've played so far) it gets stuck on applying upgrades. When this happens, the previous race hasn't been saved and must be raced again. It does save progress to driver and cars stats so more upgrades can be applied. There is a work around, by continuing to the next race without upgrades, exit, and start again and apply upgrades.

When trying to save replays, it says no files found.

It stutters badly at times, occasionally even stopping for a few seconds. Any adjustments made during the stuttering result in over steering or braking too hard. (After watching many videos and countless benchmarks, I've eliminated stuttering by turning off Raytracing, using 1080 resolution, resolution scale to 100, using 60FPS (V-Sync), and disabling hyper threading - so only 6 primary cores on my i5 13600KF.)

I've also turned many settings way down to consistently get 60 FPS.

Hopefully updates are coming quickly to resolve these problems and much better optimisation. Once I eliminated stuttering and got past upgrade problems, I've thoroughly enjoyed the game. But it's a shame that it takes such high end components to play with decent graphics.

My rig:
i5 13600KF
32GB DDR5
RTX 3060
Game installed on C: M.2

My first impression was that it's a bit expensive for what it is. That was offset by the fact that the developer is very responsive and active with updates and implementing suggestions. I'm happy to have purchased it.

The game is similar to Railroad Corporation. We develop supply chains, get $ rewards for completing tasks, and advance to more modern eras with more modern engines and larger cars. There are currently 4 maps available, ranging from smaller to huge. I've only played on the 2 smallest maps so far and thoroughly enjoying the game. Highly recommended for people who enjoy this type of train games. :)

Devs are working out bugs and adding content quickly. Once the roadmap is fully implemented it will like a new game. After 30 hours I'm at $14mil and ranked around 500 (will drop quickly as people are playing it constantly). I'm very happy with the game and progress since purchasing a couple weeks ago. :)

This is an addictive game. I have 200+ hours on it. Developers are still quite active. Very hard to find a time to stop as there's so many things happening all the time - that's not a complaint. The graphics are very good and it uses very little system resources. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys building simulations.

But it's not without problems. EG: I've built a huge Monastery with all additions. No mods. Everything was fine until all of a sudden I get "Villager Path Blocked" errors every 20 seconds or so. Clicking takes me to a Monk (always a different Monk) inside the main Monastery building. The game doesn't allow me to snap on more doors or reset the Monk. Mind boggling as it was working perfectly as is for an entire game year before this started happening. Extremely frustrating and no idea how to resolve other than delete my entire Monastery. Also building a stone bridge with 2 stone ramparts. The first rampart built without a problem but the second sits idle with "missing resources" (polished stone although I have 400 in inventory).

Overall, the positives and enjoyment far exceed the problems for me.

It's refreshing to see a game that developers continue to add to with reasonably priced DLCs. I've found no bugs for a very long time. It's optimised well, my medium components PC handles it well. Anyone who likes various cars and learning a bit of how to work on them would enjoy this game. :)

I usually like construction games. I'm not a fan of Factorio for several reasons:
Coal is eaten too quickly for power, meaning I can't concetrate on any other area for long before having to load more coal. I can't figure out advanced oil, the tutorials I've found go too fast, don't start with the basics and don't show how to actually transport and use advanced oils. I've tried many times to get this working to advance to robots and failed every time. The blueprints for advanced oil are confusing as they show pipes, but not which are water, oil, advanced oil. The pipes are insane, saying I can't combine fluids when it's all water or all heavy oil - delete every pipe in that string and start over and then it works as it should. I can't get robots without advanced oil, which means I'm just spinning my wheels to keep things going rather than advancing in the game. I would like to pause the game while working on an area. Lastly, I type 90 wpm but not a fan of keyboard games - way too many keyboard shortcuts to memorize and very frustrating when I click the wrong one and stuff up my progress. The concept of this game is strong and obviously has many, many fans. But it's designed for keyboard players who have more intelligence than me. :)

I really wanted to enjoy this game. It has a very steep learning curve, particularly when adding factories and new car families. It's currently unplayable due to constant errors. I have no mods installed. That's for both alpha and regular versions. I'm constantly hit with error screens which reappear after every action, meaning I can go no further. My last 2 attempts (1 in regular and 1 in beta) both resulted in errors while creating the first car family. The last one while selecting game supplied headlights for a game supplied car.

There is no error reporting built into the game so all I can do is keep posting error messages I've copied to clipboard. Developer is very active and has added 2 patches since I purchased a couple weeks ago. But it still has a very long way to go. I've never made it past 1984 when the errors occurred or the economy nose dived for no apparent reason.

The price is way too high for a very unstable game in development. It's been around for a long time so should be more stable. If you only use Car Designer and Engine Designer, it seems much more stable. But that can only go so far unless you dish out more $ for BeamNG to drive them, which doesn't appeal to me. The Campaign mode is where I run into big problems.

The game definitely has great potential if Campaign is fixed. Will update review if/when that happens.

I like how the game works, although some things aren't clear (have to click on each food source for animals after selecting BIO or leaving it at non-BIO). I find this very relaxing. Bugs are few and far between but they do creep in occasionally (I selected restore on a broken tractor, moved it to the parking space, and parking lot disappeared so couldn't do anything with the tractor). I haven't found a bug that can't be fixed by saving, going to home screen, and reloading the save. Overall I really enjoy the game. :)

I had high hopes for this game, purchased it and both DLCs. It hasn't been touched since early access.

The ecomony is still screwed up which is probably why sales stopped. Case in point, with both Detroit and Mega factories I finished all research for all 3 categories. I was producing everything in house which should have saved $. I removed research, design studios, and marketing. I had maintenance and preventative maintenance. My power never dropped below 100% with in-house generators. Every car sold immediately at max price ($200k), couldn't keep any in inventory. And I still lost $ at a very fast rate.

If not for cheat engine to start with $99mil, I'd have been bankrupt long before finishing. I will never buy another Positech game due to how Cliff Harris dropped the ball on this one. Shame, because I really liked it and had so much potential.

It's worth it for the reasonable price. Pretty much the same as Car Mechanic Simulator as far as ordering, repairing, assembly and disassembly.

It's not without bugs and has limited number motorcycles (more bikes willl be added according to developers). Even with the latest update, I can't place some parts (EG: Hawk cylinder 1 rocker arm A fancy or modern). There's been many times I've ordered parts and seen the money removed from my account, only to find they are not in my inventory. And occasionally the drive belts don't line up with rear pulley until moving to another location, front fenders on Classic occasionally install to the side of the wheel/forks.

Nice to see developers working on updates and adding content (so far for free). If you like CMS and motorcycles, you'll enjoy this game. :)
