Boy am I glad I payed next to nothing for this game. My singular reason for the thumbs down is the War of the Chosen. The narrative with that dlc disabled seems completely different and you can tell the focus is all in on War of the Chosen. My problem is *with* the chosen, they are introduced hilariously and arbitrarily fast, on like your 3rd mission. They also never, ever, ever shut their mouths. Ever. I don't think the devs played their own game once it was a finished product, because if I wanted to be backseated and/or have commentary on every single little interaction I do, I would be a twitch streamer. So no, I don't recommend, because the enemy never ever shuts up on every action, every turn, every hit.

As the only game I've perfected on two systems, please take it from me, please, don't play this. Anything that made it great is gone, it's a shadow chasing the tired dregs of a formerly talented team. There used to be some passion here, some small little glimmers of true greatness, and yet in the end it's been hollowed out. Gutted, by suits. You make me real sad Bungie.

What an absolute gem of a series, both games are gorgeous, well-written, developed with passion, and demonstrate an understanding of the material they are working with. Which of course means that we won't get a third one, and when I'm gray in the head I'll see a reboot rear its head. What an absolutely vile shame, at least we have these two jewels.

Nagoriyuki is the most fun fighting game character I have ever played.

This isn't one of my top 5's because this is objectively one of the greatest rpg's ever made. I played this so much back in the day on the 360 I broke the disk from popping in and out of the case so much. Absolutely phenomenal

I somehow have 70 hours in a game I know nothing about. Normally I wouldn't hold that against a game, but I've attempted to play this game multiple times over many years and each time, it's a completely different thing. I don't consider that a pro by any means, they by now probably have a somewhat working vision but it took star citizen level's of time to get here and that's not so great. Thankfully this review is just my opinion, which is worthless. Kind of like the first 5 or 7 or whatever years of this game's life.

There are long nuanced reviews and then here is mine, I bought this on accident and desperately put 4 or 5 hours into it to try and get my money's worth. You could beat this in like 5 minutes, I don't recommend it.

This game's got a great premise, and they created an interesting idea for contrasting growing in power vs upholding your Hippocratic oath. But, then the gameplay comes in, and I'm trying to be nice here but I hope whoever designed the combat encounters/actual mechanics for the interesting idea I mentioned above was an intern. Otherwise they better have been payed in small change because I get the vibe they really hated making this.

The golden rule for the first game is that if you decapitate someone, they're gone for good. Kind of like shoes flying off in liveleaks footage, this game doesn't follow that rule. It gets absolutely wild seeing some of your rivals evolve and grow alongside you. Now the story, if you gave me alcohol poisoning, strapped me to a chair, and then made me watch the extended version of the LOTR trilogy. I could then boo boo a better story, but you play this for the Nemesis system.

This game's sick as hell, can't wait for the sequel.
