If you enjoy the survivor like/reverse bullet hell/bullet heaven/whatever you wanna call these games, then you will enjoy this game. It is very EA, but still has enough content for 5-10 hours of good play if not more. I also love the character building/evac concept the game introduces. I would love to see this taken even further and make the risk/reward greater or provide an option to do so.

I disagree with the comments regarding progression and unlocks. You can unlock things very quickly if you want to. I do however agree with the comments regarding item/weapon lockouts. It honestly doesn't make any sense at the moment to be locked out of other grenades or drones after taking 1 version of them. I could see the lockout system being more effective if it also locked out skills that were no longer relevant. IE taking molotov locks out toxic and shock grenade and also locks out shock and toxic bonuses. Otherwise, why not allow for all of them.

The game also needs some heavy work done on optimization. I've never had any issue with framerate on any game in this genre and I've played most of them. However, I can bring this game down to 1 FPS fairly easily.

Overall the game is fun and could easily be another great survivor like with some improvements and content.

Fun game. Super quick build builder. I often play at 4x speed just to run through and get the best build I can then try again with another combo. Definitely recommend even in the EA state.

Loving the game so far. I really like the Abbey area and the exploration involved. I've also not had any of the performance issues people have mentioned, updated drivers through Nvidia yesterday for this game though, RTX3070TI, and settings maxed.

I haven't looked a lot at the microtransaction shop, but a lot is earnable in game and since its just cosmetics, I'm not worried about it. Sure you could say devs are scummy for it, but they gave us an 80hr game with replayability. Most 60$ games come out now with less than 20hrs of content and a crap ton of bugs. I'll take this game and devs any day over the rest.

So many people are giving this game a negative review when its in a pre-beta to continue testing, last minute bug fixing, and balancing. FatShark already laid out the content release up to full launch day too. Yes the game has some bugs.... thats the point of this being a pre-beta launch for those who understand theres a few things to work out prior to launch in a couple weeks.

Overall though, the game plays great and is a lot of fun. I can't wait for all the content to launch in a couple weeks.


Edit: Ive played this game since pre-launch beta. Unfortunately the game still has some crashing and server issues. On top of that all the content they promised would be out at launch, isn't out. I hate to change my review from positive to negative, but Fatshark hasn't lived up to their promises even a week after launch. I'll update my review again once they fix things and add what they promised for launch.


Edit: The list of bugs seemingly continues to grow. The more I want to play and enjoy this game, the less it wants me to play and enjoy it. Weekly challenges are bugged where you randomly wont get progress. Is Fatshark going to compensate people for dealing with the headache that is their current game? No. I can't see changing my review to positive for this game for a very long time if ever at this rate.

One of my favorite VS likes besides VS and Rogue Genesia. Great pick-up in my opinion. The only down side here is even though there is a lot of content, I want more! Still well worth the price and plenty of content here to play. 100% recommend.

Great game. Easily one of the best VS like games out there. As other comments have mentioned, this is the only one I like as much as the OG Vampire Survivors.

Amazing rogue-like deck builder. Lots of content and re-playability already. If the single player is great, the multiplayer is even greater. Truly an awesome implementation to how multiplayer works. A must get for anyone who likes this genre.

***EDIT: Base game is great, but their DLC practice is scummy. I'll change my review back to positive once they address their DLC practices. They stated they listened after Wolf Wars, but its clear that was a bunch of smoke.

***EDIT: Well its clear their DLC practices will only get worse because now they are a Paradox DLC farm machine. Truly sad.

Super fun rogue-lite shooter. Great solo or with friends. Solid amount of content for the price. Each character feels unique and is enjoyable to play.

Very fun game even at initial EA launch. Unlocks do not require excessive grind like some have mentioned. However, it is a fast game loop. I personally love it and don't find it repetitive. The more you unlock the more variety and randomness of gear and character traits you can start with. That, combined with the unlock goals, keeps me wanting to come back for more.

Great Doom style game with a simple yet rewarding upgrade system.
