I bought Wolcen to scratch my Hack 'n' Slash action RPG itch, after making the mistake of buying Diablo 2: Resurrected (which stutters and lags worse than Senile in Chief).

This is a mediocre game at best, one that does ARPG by the Numbers yet never manages to distinguish itself.

THE GOOD:
- It run almost flawlessly on Win7 (64bit), 12GB RAM, 1060/3GB, and I almost never encountered the bugs reported by others (sometimes the character would get stuck on an object, but I could fix it easily by teleporting to the town and back).
- The environment and gear designs are nicely done and clear.
- You can colour different parts of your gear, once you find and unlock different dyes. And this shows in game.
- The maps allow you to thoroughly explore them without having to backtrack, something I always hated in Diablo 3.
- The battle mechanics is nicely Goldilocked when it comes to dealing with both crowds and bosses. Not too easy, not too hard.
- The backpack size is ample enough not to have to teleport back and forth to the town too much, even if you decide to pick up everything that drops.

THE BAD:
- It is not open world, it is one long corridor action RPG. With teleportation stations (essentially the save points) placed way too far apart. Especially annoying when you want to quit, yet you cannot save your progress until you clear out another long level - with at least two secondary dungeons.
- The character options are very limited (Melee, Ranger and Sorcerer, that's it), and the overly-branching skill tree offers far less gameplay variation than expected, with most points (including the nodal ones) offering imperceptible improvements.
- As far as their affect on the gameplay, the attributes are universal and, mostly, unbalanced. Ferocity and Agility are as important to a tank, a ranger or a mage.
- The stash is once again way to limited for a looting RPG! It can be shared only between the Offline and Online characters (but not between the two groups) - and this does not include your gold. As a result, every new character starts off broke and there is hardly any space to save low and mid-level gear in your stash.
- The Show Items toggle is broken, as it resets after a few seconds and you have to keep pressing it in order to see the items dropped.

I bought this game during the STEAM Sale for less than $20, but at this state I would not recommend it. At least not at that price. I decided not to refund it, in order to support the developers who keep improving and adding to it.

I hope they improve it enough to be worth the admission price. And our time.

I love 4X games, ever since the original Civilization on DOS. And the more complicated, they are the better. I appreciate a steep learning curve - as long as it culminates to a proportional payoff. However, even after giving Factorio an honest try I could never feel any satisfaction of achievement. The constant grind and incessant need to feed yet another set of mechanical mouths never added up to anything.

I can understand people caught in a bad patch in their life and in need of such a pointless task in order to numb their days. Go for it, it is actually helping as it buys you time to heal. Anyone else, though, I would never recommend this. There are better games out there.

I have been playing this game for over a decade now. The graphics hold up, striking the perfect balance between distinct and detailed units, while the gameplay is brilliantly balanced between the three factions. Play it on Normal to relax, play it on Insane to quickly acquire that exact mentality.

This is the last good C&C game we got and the closest we ever game to Generals 2.

Highly Recommended!

A PC game, and an isometric brawler at that, that does not allow to remap the controls to the arrows & NUM/s is poorly ported. And, no, using a controller to play a PC game defies the purpose of having a PC!

Sure, nostalgia-tainted glasses may make everything seem good, especially if from an era that predates the Female Force disasters, yet this game will feel badly aged to most gamers.

An absolutely stellar remake of the original HalfLife with the HL2 engine. Great attention to detail, a project done with respect and love. I played it for free yet came back to buy it because these guys surely deserve it!

Now that the game is complete (and they even may the Xen levels enjoyable!), it is well worth its price.

And it has one of the coolest and most memorable soundtracks of the past decade!

THE WITCHER III is the best game ever created. Period.
And the BLOOD & WINE expansion is as close to WITCHER IV we shall ever get! It is not only huge but also distinctly original and fresh.

Exchange the heavy winter clothes and dark overcast skies with endless fields exploding with colors and warm waters calling you to dive in. Do so at your own peril. For the South is no less dangerous than the North.

An absolutely breathtaking experience.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The HEARTS OF STONE is the first expansion-sized DLC that weaves a dark tale you will want to be a part of. Intelligent and nuisanced. Intense and emotional.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I was a Total War fan even before there was a Total War series - instead, it was called SHOGUN: TOTAL WAR. I have bought and played every single game since then. But apparently my patronage counts for nothing. Loyalty counts for nothing. Customer respect has run out, CA never restocked and is nowhere to be found. So is basic human decency.

You allowed a millenial SJW to soil both your company name and your legacy. Irrevocably. Just because she wanted to appear 'woke'. Just because she was in position of power, holding onto our money while changing the product your company sold to us. Just because of who she is and just because she could.

So here is the deal CA: I have more than 700 games in my STEAM library alone, most of them in my backlog. And there is a STEAM sale coming up in a few weeks. I can survive just fine without you. Will not give you a second thought.

Can you survice without people like me buying your games? Let's wait and see.

I was on the fence about whether to recommend this game or not. I had enjoyed the 2013 Shadow Warrior immensely, from the graphics and artistic style to the guns and the Wang jokes. Yes, it suffered from the annoying quick-time event during the boss fights, but other than that it was an unforgettable blast!

Shadow Warrior 2 tries to build on that and expand into Role-Playing Shooter territory. It is little more than an above average game but more often it finds itself into a mess and I found myself reminiscing about the previous game. Maps get constantly recycled (no, fog and snow does not make them different) and, what is worse, the urban environments look eerily familiar to the ones from another game of the same developer, HARD RESET.

Whereas I was never bored playing the 2013 game, I did often get playing this one.

The RPS direction was not necessairily a bad one. So I do hope there is a third installment where they will get to refine those new ideas.

Recommended (just barely).
