This game is impossible to play. There is no way to succeed and I am an enemy of the state with a dead family in 25 minutes of playing, every time! Do not buy.

They panned out this to be the successor of JGR/JSR series but there are massive flaws I can't accept:
1. No MC (Both the games from Sega had a Disc Jockey, and there is SILENCE in BRC)
2. Areas big wide open areas, lots of time wasted hoofing it because there was nowhere to grind
3. Areas are largely devoid of people. That's what makes the game seem less important, you're in a deserted freaking town.

I just don't want people to play this and think the old games were like this so I refuse to recommend based on this premise.

How can ANYONE not recommend this?
If there was double recommendation I WOULD DOUBLE DO IT

This is quickly becoming my favorite game in at least a decade.
I'm having so much fun and love every split second.
Metal Slug was my jam when I was a lad in the 90s, this brings back such a nice feeling.

This is my favorite game in the world forever and I love you guys.

With the SADX Dreamcast conversion mod, this became a true gem on my computer. It looks and plays just like it did back when I was 16 yo in my parent's basement on that cheap 32 in CRT.

Man, what an amazing feel. Thanks guys. I recommend everyone get this and try that mod, it'll take you back to better times.

Grinding is ridiculous in this. You have to grind hard and get very little for every single thing. This included healing items or equipment. The worst part is there are items you have to grind for just to get an ingredient for the equipment or healing item you wanted.

It's insane and takes forever to grind with enemies hitting very hard and having instant lock on to you, while you have to aim for them. Horrible executed game, and I wish I never backed it or bought it.

edit: After putting more hours in . . . it's a love/hate relationship with this game.
