Relaxing gameplay, great visuals, funny Cutscenes. GOTY for me.
Also you play as a "blue manatee"!

Ship Gaveyard Simulator 2 is the game the first installment wanted to be.
So far I've already enjoyed this Prologue more than the first game.
Finally it really feels like you are dismantling a ship.

+ Graphics have been improved
+ Game runs smoother than the first one for me
+ UI/UX looks better, provides more information
+ the two test vessels feel more realistic. Less copy & paste of rooms full of stuff like in the first game.
this trend will hopefully continue with bigger ships. I guess you call it better "map design". :)
+ Breaking actual parts apart, no more "cans" of resources lying on the floor
+ fully destructible ships
+ Crane to lift containers, engines and lastly even parts of the ship hull
+ Inventory nightmare gone. Just yeet it from across the ship onto your truck.
+ Fun mini game to sort your collected resources. It disrupts the monotony of breaking ships.
+ General environment/location/ambient sounds is a big improvement.

- Tools upgrading is a bit flat currently as you only buy more "damage". Though I didn't notice a difference.
- Blueprint seller. Not sure what he is there for. Maybe this is the supposed to be the new version of tool tiers. Ok, you first have to buy the blueprint upgrade for a tool and then craft it at another NPC.
This could have been made more obvious.
- No more critical hits to speed up the destruction. Here's hoping for a return in some form.
- Cutting with saw is currently only a progress bar. Preferred making cuts myself in the first game.
- Currently some objects keep flying freely in the air when you destroy lower floors first and didn't break all "connections"
- No workers for hire as far I could tell.

As said in the beginning I've already enjoyed the Prologue more than the first game.
The core gameplay is more engaging and the destruction more satisfying to watch.
The game feels more realistic, especially thanks to not having resource boxes on the ground everywhere.
Removing the prior inventory system to focus more on dismantling has been a good decision.
I hope tool upgrades will be expanded and the tool animation (saw) improved.
If you liked the first game, you'll probably like the sequel even more.

Early Access Review
Great expansion of the My time in Portia universe.
Every aspect of the first game has been improved. Many QoL improvements to the game mechanics.
Though the relationship grind still is kind of daunting for me.
The NPC characters overall feel much more fleshed out.
Even in EA the game already plays superior to many other full releases.
If you liked Portia, you'll love Sandrock.

If you like watching your magnificent campaign saves vanish into the emptiness of the void over and over again, this is the best DLC for you!
Otherwise you're better off to just burn the money. It'll help warm up your heart, that has been frozen over by the countless buggy releases it had to endure by now.

Nice and relaxing game. Having no time pressure for planning your day is great.
Time progresses by actions done instead of having a fixed clock.
Lovely characters and a lot of freedom in planning and customizing your village.

I love the inclusion of different gases and liquids. It adds an additional level of management to normal base-building.
Providing for all the needs while also keeping temperatures in an optimum range can be challenging at times.
Different random worlds provide endless problem solving fun.
Oxygen level 10/10

The anxiety you get from trying to survive in this game is almost unbearable.
Can't wait for the future story episodes.

EU IV delivers an incredible sandbox and new mechanics are added continuously.
The amount of mechanics creates a great depth to the game, which can be quite overwhelming for new players at first.

The recent expansion updated the middle eastearn region, improving the dynamic and making more countries interesting to play and changes to the power balance.

Now I'm getting me some Rûm.

This is one of the best games I have played over the years.
The roleplay depth it provides to write your own story in this open world is enormous.
The mod community gifts you with some very good additonal scenarios to spend even more time.
