Has all the ingredients of a great game but the 2nd half of the game is actively wasting your time

This game tries to be subnautica, but has some base flaws in level design.

In subnautica "first chapter" is when you can explore whole ocean (except of near the ship), and your "oxygen limit" is basically depth from surface. Any time you can resurface and replenish oxygen.

In breathedge your "replenish" is only at start point (later you'll start to create oxygen "checkpoints"), but initially its very annoying to move back and forth (and you continue to move back and forth because you need to re-craft stuff or craft new stuff). And first chapter (moving back and forth) is about 4hours.

In subnautica your equipment limit is "battery", which has fairly big capacity and you can recharge the battery and move on.
IN breathedge all you equipment breaks pretty fast and you have to re-craft it (which is annoying).

In subnautica you explore in all directions right from the start.
Breathedge in very linear, it is literally a corridor with checkoints. And it is very annoying to go back and forth between them until you'll be able to move to the next "big checkoint"

In subnautica early in the game you get access to base building and basic movement improvements.
In breathedge i'm 4 hours in, i think i've scanned habitat blueprint, but have no idea how much longer until i'll be able to build one.
