The greatest puzzle game ever made.

One of the best co-op games for sure. The devs constantly update the game and add new and exciting features. It a grindy game at it's core but it's very enjoyable. ROCK AND STONE!

Leaving this review for the Steam Game Awards 2019. Well deserved.

The combination of AFPS :

• Different movement mechanics
  
• Fast paced engagements
  
• Positioning and Map Control

with RTS (which is reserved for the commander),

• Resource management
  
• Macromanagement, Different Upgrade paths
  
• Micromanagement

already make this game exciting. The asymmetrical competitive multiplayer format where Marines face against Aliens is something that will require a lot of practice and effort to master as a player, but as you progressively get better your excitement for the game will only incease. The community is mostly helpful to the new players and there are servers, forums where people share their knowledge about the game. For the Marines the challenge comes in the ability of the player to be a proficient shooter and having good positioning at every engagement, whereas the Aliens require great movement skills, cooperation and map knowledge. These, along side others, will be the deciding factor between a good player and an expert.

I fell in love with this game in 2012 when I first heard that it provided a lot of FPS skill in combination with RTS mechanics and all this in an asymetrical balanced way, and I still have fun playing it after so many years. The devs are constantly updating the game with new ideas and balance changes. I strongly recommend this game to those who enjoy challenging games that require teamwork.
