People really hate this game for some reason. While I will admit it has it's flaws, even now after supposedly being patched by EA, I think that the characters and story were interesting. All in all, I really enjoyed the game. I spent about 75 hours and finished all the major missions and side missions. The only stuff I didn't complete were many of the tasks, simply because they were scavengers which may have provided interesting lore but ultimately were too much of a pain in the ass. Yes the UI had some seriously clunky elements and the inability to skip some cutscenes is a source of personal frustration, but honestly other parts make up for it. The combat was okay, I didn't particularly like being limited to three powers, but it was engaging enough to keep me going. However I really appreciated the fact that it was back to a multi armor/multi gun type of game, the very COD feeling of ME3 left me feeling sour. I found the voice acting to be fairly decent and while some people have complained about the characters, they are different people from those in the original trilogy. If you wanted to have a character be a carbon copy of Shepherd, Garrus, Tali, or Wrex then you should have played the original trilogy. The entire theme of the game is new beginnings, finding something new far from home and trying to make it work. I personally found that the character interactions were heartfelt and wholesome, you actually get to know your crew as people and not just personality traits. I only wish that EA had seen fit to produce some decent story DLC, especially with some of the bomb dropping they do at the end of the game.

Coming out at launch this game has a fairly good chunk of bugs. Everything from small stuff like cigarettes getting stuck in mid air during cutscenes, to having cars randomly explode and go flying through the air. Hell there was even an obnoxious one where plants were visible through walls and pretty much everything else. Despite all this I would say it's worth playing, the character writing is phenomenal, the city is beautiful in a trashy sort of way, the leveling has a good amount of options. The story itself is a little short, but after 60 hours of game play (not finishing every last gig and all of the police scanner activities) I can say I really love this game. It has a lot of heart in it and I think that if CDPR decides to put out some dlc to add more content this could become an even more astounding experience. I know they've gotten a lot of flak over how buggy the release was, but I feel that it's still a better game than almost any other to come out in the last several years.

All I can really say for this is that it brought me back to my youth. Baulder's Gate was one of my favorite games growing up and this was like the ghost of that game coming back, possessing a younger dude and being the most knowledgable stud in town.

More quality RPG games like this should be released, it was complete, it had interesting plot, unique world setting, vivid characters who had some pretty hilarious interactions, and it was a good length to boot! This is what all RPGs should be. Give me moar.
