This game is quite impressive and the graphics are incredible...beautifully done and very immersive.

The atmosphere is outstanding. It really does feel like you are being watched and that is unnerving. The audio is exceptionally well mixed and balanced. It is creep-inducing. The overall impression is that is has the quality of a AAA game.

Two things I don't like - the inability to save whenever you want to, and the sprint/walk controls...it makes no sense to always have to run until you hit 'W' to make Lincoln walk.

What I really like is the story....it IS powerful, immersive and surprisingly emotional in a number of ways. I strongly recommend Mafia III DE version even though it is far removed from the other Mafia games. Beautiful atmosphere, a very busy active city. Reminds me of GTA V and there are things about it that feel actually better than GTA. Overall, despite negative reviews from some people, it is an excellent game!

Considering the age of the game I'm still very impressed by how amazingly atmospheric Fallout 4 is even after hundreds of hours playing it. The gloomy, stormy-rainy days, along with the music (or the spooky mod named Pilgrim) has more immersion than most any other game I have...and I have a lot of open world games.

Modding is super easy and the quality of most mods, especially ones that change textures, is often incredible.

If you have not played Fallout 4, in short, you don't know what you are missing!

I have almost all of the AC games in the series and Black Flag's atmosphere - especially the ocean waves and colors, is amazing...superb rendering of the ocean. Love the gameplay too. Highly recommend Black Flag!

Having bought all versions of Trainz from day one, I bought this version with apprehension because Tane is, and probably will remain, a terribly buggy mess of genuinely old graphics, laggy performance, rolling stock and many locos that were outdated years ago.

Well....I was pleased and quite surprised that not only does Trainz 2019 run far better than Tane ever has, it does look considerably better - even with outdated add-ons......I mean, take a look at the passengers....they look exactly like what they are - 10 year-old figures that hurt, not help, immersion.

I'm thankful that it does not drag alonglike Tane ALWAYS has, and the graphics and lighting improvements are substantial....finally it's where it should have been when Tane came out.

I was not willing to pay $70 for something sight-unseen so I purchased the North America version for $40 and it was worth it to finally have Trainz run considerably better.

I recommend it but hope the devs will continue to update the software and give it to their customers as a "thank you" for sticking with Trainz.

It's finally considerably better but, like many people, I have to wonder why the costs do nothing but increase. Sooner or later, the devs are going to hit a wall with their high prices for every DLC on their site and on Steam.

If you want to play a game that has outdated, cartoonish graphics (compared to the quality of today's games...even small indie ones) then buy it...but the character animations look like something from 8 or 9 years ago..but *not* as well done.

Bad constant clipping, very unrealistic, clunky movement. They should have made it 1st person only so that their sloppily done characters wouldn't be seen in 3rd person. It ruins immersion when your character is often standing half-inside a boulder or has branches sticking out of their legs or face, etc.! The dinos are well animated and nicely textured while the environment looks sparse with poorly textured, unfinished-looking graphics. The promo/ad videos misrepresent what's in the actual game. That's a big disappointment.

I uninstalled it due to the incessant frustration with endless multi-player issues and because what was advertised was certainly not what is in this very over-priced beta. They can call it whatever they want, but it's buggy as hell and still not finished. Cannot recommend this.

I've played thru the EA version 2 times and am going back for more because the atmosphere, the stunning artistry, sound design and immersion are better than any game I can think of...and that pulls me back to the game.

If you have not played it, you are missing out on an amazing experience. You really can't accurately describe how immersive, unsettling, creepy and thought-provoking this game is...you have to be *in* that world to understand....go get it! Extremely impressed!

I hope anyone considering buying this game will take notice that it has been ABANDONED by the developers. It has a lot of potential and they totally blew it by walking away and not even telling the people who paid them for this game, that it would not be fixed, nor supported in any way.

ABANDONED GAME.....really crappy of the devs to do that.

Simply put....if they sold this for 100% off it would be too much. This is one wanky game. The only good thing about this wanna-be arcade shooter are the cutscenes.

One thing I’m sure of…..Skyrim is the single most gorgeous, hugely immersive game I have ever played. And I say that as someone who has been an avid (perhaps rabid) gamer since the first Doom lit up our screens in the early 1990s. Skyrim is, in my opinion, sitting at the top of the list...especially when modded.

I truly appreciate a game with stunning graphics, but even more, I appreciate a game that makes you feel as if you are IN that world, and Skyrim has succeeded in immersion to an unequaled degree. I’m referring to the seemingly little, yet awesome things the developers (and certainly the modders) put into the game. The sound design, often overlooked as a critical element of the experience, is utterly perfect. The rain, wind, lightning, sunsets, ripples on water when it’s raining, the rolling spatial thunder on a dark afternoon or gloomy morning is something to behold, especially with earphones and the sound cranked! The soundtrack music, as a reviewer put it, "is achingly beautiful." Some of the thematic elements are strikingly reminiscent of The Lord of the Rings. Goosebumpworthy.

The stunning level of detail shows that Bethesda was not just throwing out marketing hype. I’m not, in case anyone wonders, a fanboy of any game developer. But in those rare games that seem and feel almost alive, you have to really respect the teams of designers, graphic artists, producers, audio engineers, etc. that manage to pull something like Skyrim together. And for my money, no one has yet to equal this particular accomplishment. As one reviewer said, "Bethesda put a world in a box."

A suggestion to newbies: forget quests when you start out. Just walk around, head down a road, wander off of a path and just look…absorb the often astonishing view, the countless details, the sound and music. You will quickly realize that the world of Skyrim is magic, that it was crafted by people who are among the very best in their field…and actually care about us gamers.

Take archery for example. I’ve seen numerous posts about inaccuracy or issues with shooting arrows, that they don’t hit their mark, etc.. So I spent some time just zipping arrows into trees and mudcrabs, bouncing them off rocks, signposts, etc. The arrows DO arc and distance clearly affects accuracy and I was surprised at how well it works…think about the dynamics and math involved in pulling that off! I shot a number of arrows straight up, saw a few come down…but, walking around the area later, I found arrows sticking into the ground, into trees, etc, all at the correct angles and approximate distances from where I shot them. That’s serious attention to detail.

I have never before played any game that actually tricked my soggy brain into believing I was there, in that world so removed from this reality. Silly though it may sound, I have stood there in the rain just looking around, taking in the ambiance, the awesome scenery and mood and before I knew it, an hour was gone.

When I read posts where someone is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about how short Skyrim is, how there are “deal breaker” issues that make the game unplayable and that Skyrim is little more than a crappy beta that was rushed out the door, I realize that these people are missing out on a wonderful experience…or they simply don’t appreciate the mind bending complexity involved in making Skyrim, not to mention making it work on vastly different PC systems….or, they are trolls or derps.

Certainly, not all will agree and that’s fine. I’m hoping that those people out there who are still on the fence about Skyrim will not be negatively swayed by the sometimes dismissive remarks I’ve read on forums. But, everyone is entitled to their views.

Although I am confident that no one from Bethesda will ever read my opinion of Skyrim, I truly hope that they know how much most of us appreciate their efforts to craft a game that actually does deserve the overworked title of “Masterpiece.”

One more thing – to the modding community out there, I want to say that it is YOU who make Skyrim considerably more than it is already, and I greatly appreciate your efforts and respect your talent and dedication. You are spending your time doing what you clearly love and it makes a difference, often a huge one. All I can say is a simple but sincere Thank You.
