《黑暗之魂3》的核心玩法并不是外界流传的那样硬核，它的主要乐趣在于收集要素，恋爱养成，时装搭配，欣赏美景，旅游观光，而在体验这些核心要素的途中加入的清扫小怪，击杀boss等有意思的附加玩法，使得这款游戏变得更加有趣以及耐玩。
