I would let this game cook a little longer...
It's a pretty cool game but just needs a lot to be a really good game. It's a cool blend of Raft and Subnautica

-Nice graphics
-Pretty cool story line
-Pretty cool concept
-despite how difficult the game feels it's still enjoyable
-The physics are pretty enjoyable

---Cons---
-Performance is pretty bad. Not completely unplayable but pretty rough.
-I feel like progression is somewhat difficult and I spend a LOT of time in one "quest area" trying to figure out where to go and trying to power everything and scrounge to find required resources
-Combat feels extremely clunky and honestly pretty bad in general
-UI isn't the best, feels very bland
-LOTS of bugs

Honestly haven't played a game I've enjoyed this much in a very long time

Performance is TRASH with a 3070, 32gb of Ram and a Intel I9 10900 ... Wait to buy until they fix it.
(I've noticed DLSS is worse for my performance although I have a 3070... For whatever reason FSR works better for me?)

Will change this to a positive review ONCE the performance issues are addressed.

The game is amazing honestly. I didn't play a whole lot of the original, so I'm not gonna nit pick the living hell out of the game that others seem to be doing. However, it does "feel" like a older game, but in my personal opinion it still plays great, and I've really enjoyed it so far.

Honestly a really good game, but with that being said it doesn't live up to its full potential.

I would honestly LOVE to see some mechanics be more in depth. Just one of many examples I feel like the duck call's in this game don't reflect what a actual duck call sounds like as well as the "mechanics" for them.

I would say this game does a pretty good job of giving the feeling of what hunting is generally like but it misses a LOT of small things that would make it amazing.

For the general public I would definitely recommend this game, I have people playing with me who have never been hunting before and love this game.

But for the avid hunters out there looking to play this during the off season, I would say don't expect a ton from this game although its still a blast to play
