Dripping with atmosphere and weird vibes; this game has an aesthetic that is right up my alley. It’s very cryptic in a way that keeps me interested. The difficulty is proving a lot to overcome however. You’ll gather plenty of resources to aid your run but burn through them twice as fast when you encounter a difficult foe. I don’t know if I’ll fully complete this one but it’s worth your time and dollars anyway.

PLEASE add the ability to rebind keys… I’ve read that the Devs don’t consider it a priority but this is unplayable for me unless I can rebind the movement keys. It looks so fun and I have a group of friends that want to play but was super disappointed to boot the game and learn that completely lacks control options.

Edit: Finally fixed, I can finally play normally. Thank you!

Early Access Review
It kills me to give a thumbs down; I want to love this so much, and to be clear, there is SUCH potential here, and I do believe the devs can reach that, but right now in the current state it's just not ready. I've seen a lot of commentary that they know its too early but they're releasing it due to fan demand and if that is the case I truly think that was a mistake.

The game feel is just so clunky. Clipping issues on the environment, had to bail on more than one match due to getting stuck in the map. 3rd person camera is obscured by the big bulky character model. Shooting offers very little feedback and just feels... bad.

I actually don't mind the water mechanic, and i appreciate hardcore aspects of a game like this (I have played tarkov on and off for years and I appreciate the difficulty of that) but the aspect of this game that makes it hard is that you're constantly stuck in inescapable situations. If the goal here is stealth and sneaking there's a lot of work that needs to be done to make that actually feasable. Right now it feels like a complete dice roll if you'll be pinned into a corner by huge mechs with literally no path to the extract, or have a squad of juggernauts spawn seemingly directly up your ass. And even the few times i did manage to loot a few things and get out alive, it didn't feel like I accomplished anything. None of the loot felt particularly valuable aside from water. And that feels more like an "i NEED to take this item if i want to keep playing the game" rather than a piece of loot that has me excited to escape with. Theres not a huge sense of accomplishment when you escape, at least not in the early game that I found, which provides little incentive to want to keep at it.

Ultimately what this game has is ATMOSPHERE. And it has it for days. God the vibes are so good, 11/10. Now a good game just needs to be built around those vibes. I'll give it a few more hours and also try playing with friends and see if my thoughts change but initial impressions are disappointing. I don't doubt that this could be molded into something amazing, but I do worry that releasing it this early might taint future opinion. Time will tell.

Fun little "watch the numbers get bigger and flashy lights get flashier" game. Lasts about 3 hours before you have all the upgrades and see the credits roll. Worth the couple bucks for a fun time, but I would like to see an "endless" mode. Right now it maxes out at prestige level 25 but why not let you prestige endlessly, constantly increasing the difficulty and at the same time give an infinite upgrade to constantly be spending your points on? Let that big number get bigger forever. Add some achievements for bigger and bigger milestones and you could definitely get more hours out of this one.

Super immersive, excellent sense of weight and physics. Beware when playing in a tight space though, the climbing sections are difficult when you cant reach over your head

Mindless silly arcade fun. Its not necessarily a *GOOD* game, but it's certainly a fun one I'm always happy to play.

Game is very fun but the proposed micro transaction system is exploitative and far too extreme. Very disappointed.

EDIT: Originally reviewed this way back in Early Access. The MTX never got better, but the game itself did. Was still quite a fun game and I came back from time to time but I think it's about dead.. The last few times i've picked it up it's taken ages to find and game, and most games i got matched into were half-populated at best. Not worth booting up at that point sadly.
