Tremendously fun, but TREMENDOUSLY difficult. Echoing other reviewers, I've played this game for ~4 hours as of writing this review, and the furthest I've gotten is level 30 out of 40 on the first campaign. The card system is heavily RNG reliant, but the bigger issue is the AI of the towers. Without being able to consistently tell certain towers to act in different ways, the towers end up randomly focusing on weaker enemies rather than stronger ones. I can't tell you how many times a shield guy has been one hit away from dropping his shield near the start of my path, only for the tower to start focusing on a little guy instead. The watch tower is not only extremely rare, but it has the opposite problem of hitting every enemy that passes by once, since the enemy it just shot is now not the enemy with the most health. Many other TDs let you individually customize towers, which helps with this issue in the long run.

I'm not going to be refunding the game, and I do recommend it for right now, but I hope to see the developer continue to update the game with QoL features and general balance going forward.

One of the best games I have ever played, without exaggeration. If you have any form of VR, there is no reason not to have this game.

Arguably the most comfortable controller to use, on par with the Gamecube controller and the 360 controller. The Grip buttons are something controller shsould have been doing for years, and will hopefully become standard soon.

My only gripe is that there's no simple (or any, that I'm aware of) to use the controller outside of Steam (with emulators, for example). But, beyond that, I've enjoyed mine since it arrived for my preorder.

Despite being only two hours in, I can already tell that the game is painfully linear. It's your bread-and-butter RPG with nothing in particular to differ it from other games. That being said, it's worth a try if you like fantasy worlds and RPGs in general. I don't know if I'd pay full price for it, but it's worth a go if you've got some spare cash lying around.
