I was excited to hear about the ultrawidescreen support and higher refresh rates, but...
It's only available in the Director's Cut version.
I was aware I bought a console port but I've rarely ever seen someone selling modern day standard features for a PC version seperately.

25% of the price of the Director's Cut version is for that update, 75% unnecessary extras (imo and according to a lot of reviewers).
I regret buying this version.

One of the best games I ever played, but not a game and missing its pricetag.

All of the adjustments made to the original game (besides the story) are either insane QOL adjustments or just additional content such as cooking, all of which only makes the game even better.
I enjoyed the story and its ending.

Few points of criticism:
- Tedious fetch quests and long walks later in the later game (they put in the fast travel from dialogue at some points at least)
- Some very minor gameplay or story related inconveniences such as NPC not being where they told you, getting confused on quest descriptions that are not accurate or wrong at some point (due to translation or story triggers changing sth), not being able to learn sth or get a certain armor or type of equipment because you unknowingly took a wrong turn in a dungeon, etc...
- bugs, lol (it's G2 after all)

DMC1 is unplayable, stuck in the menu.
I'm unable to select anything except exiting the game.
Seen the same problem in reviews and discussions (my discussion page) but no solution.
It looks like most negative reviews are related to tech problems, even 4 years after release. Shame.

For me emulating is the (only) way to go.
Not acceptable to be sold like that.

Really good. Maybe make sure it works once you buy it and you'll have a lot of fun.

It's a buggy mess for me. Platforming parts are by far the hardest in the game - because they don't work properly. Invisible walls, falling through bounds, cancelling or outright not performing inputs did ultimately frustrate me too much in the long run. Crashed multiple times.
Even when it works the gameplay is not very fun and engaging. The story should be the strong part but well it's... an old game. Should've been a few hours shorter as well, drags on far too long.
Weird story, buggy gameplay.
Might just be a bad port.

Not worth the money.

Must play for *almost* anyone.
Steal at this low price.
