The original Resident Evil 4 (RE4) was my favorite game in the franchise for the longest time. This remake built in the RE Engine is now my new favorite. I love all the things it kept the same, and even more so, the things that changed. Waiting out the village section so the chainsaw ganado doesn't come? Can't do that! Best to get that shotgun! Knives now have durability, so the notion of knocking down an enemy and knifing it to its end, is out of the question. Capcom knocks it out of the park with this game, including the Separate Ways campaign and Mercenaries mode, both of which are a welcoming return to form, with a modern twist. I would recommend this game to anyone that wishes to enjoy a fun story with interesting characters and engaging gameplay. I feel like if you're a fan of the original RE4, you'll love this. I know I did.

Let me start off by saying that, for $3.99, this game is probably worth... just that. I don't know what I was expecting. It feels like a mobile game just ported to the PC. I bet it probably is. Sure, it's lengthy enough. You can probably attain every possible goal within five hours. Enjoy the same lame "meme" faces we've all seen near the end of the game. Game mechanics work fine, but at the end it just feels... lacking. I don't know. Maybe I just don't get it.

If you can get it for free, try it out. Check out a couple of gameplay videos and see if you like it or not.

This is a quaint little matching puzzle game wherein you progress further and further with each level. The ultimate goal is to eventually obtain 10,000,000. A unique twist on the puzzle genre, combining some elements of an RPG with the fighting of monsters and in-game item-purchasing system. Normally that kind of thing would seem arbitrary, but it's worth getting these items to help you progress further. Definitely worth checking out. Earn your freedom!
