This game is the closest thing to Word Balatro you can find, and I've tried at least three

I like the game, I want more people to play it, but this is an extremely different game from Elden Ring.

In Elden Ring, death does not represent a permanent loss of anything but time, and persistence will be rewarded.

In Elden Ring: Nightreign, death ALWAYS represents a permanent loss of progress, and PERSISTENCE IS PUNISHED. I just lost a run where my two teammates spent over five minutes trying to kill one boss, dying multiple times in the process. The 60,000 runes we got from the kill could have been double or triple that if those two weren't beating their heads against that boss like a moth trying to get into a lamp.

I really do like this game, even with all its issues (the feature where a mob can eat your runes is from Bloodborne and that **** can absolutely get in the bin) but I am BEGGING you: if your first hit of a boss moves its life meter like this -> |, RUN. If a boss kills someone in one hit, ABSOLUTELY RUN. And don't forget to have fun!

I don't care what the standard is in the writing for the movies or the comics. There is no need for the combat barks in your hero shooter to be "quippy".

The fundamental problem with this game is that the penalty for busting is so hard that you are always best off standing on 11s or higher

It has three things I can't stand in a game: chance-based skill checks, isometric view, and you have to play as a cop. Nevertheless, the writing is so good I must recommend it; even if I used Cheat Engine
