Game lags whenever assets are loaded, like first time spell casts, attacks, etc.
Game crashes if you touch the graphical options menu, change some settings, and back out of it.
Clearly rough and still needs some work and optimisation, but what is here is pretty enjoyable - when it works. I'd wait until the kinks are ironed out, before picking it up.

A fun little game to play on stream between games and during breaks. Similar to games like "Marbles on Stream" but without trying to milk your viewers for microtransactions. Instead, the streamer can choose to support the awesome developer with a DLC that also allows their chat members to use emotes to represent them in-game. Lots of configuration options available to the streamer to tweak the experience. Spawn bombs faster, Make bombs lethal, speed up the game speed, play on a massive maze or a tiny one. All great stuff.

The developer is pretty awesome too, responsive to feature suggestions and quick to patch bugs.

This is Game of the Decade. I've been playing pre-1.0 and it's only been getting better and better. This is a technical masterpiece, runs effortlessly and is an intense, fun, and addictive physics sandbox turned roguelite.

Provides a discount for Definitive Edition, and that's great.

The game likes to throw really immersive and cool animations, health conditions and some really atmospheric stuff, but then other things throw me out, like there being no first person and the third person camera being not-so-good. It's got some great potential, but there needs to be some form of first person camera to really keep me.

This game is pretty controversial, and I've been with it from the very early days before it was even available on the Steam platform. Whilst it's true that the developer has pretty much stopped working on the game, with the last update being on the 22nd of November, 2016, after a loooong time with absolutely nothing changed, I would disagree that the development has stopped because he "took the money and ran" or is "a coward" as some other reviewer has said.

Overall, it's a nice premise. A little bit obscured because of the sheer amount of very-similar games that had a lot more advertisement behind them, but the game has a certain charm to it. Developed by one man, who ultimately stopped development because he has other priorities in life. This game is a plethora of randomly grabbed royalty-free assets (Which I can excuse because it's developed by one guy who, as far as I can tell, doesn't have any art experience) on top of a clever idea. The programming is pretty solid, though lack-luster. The modability of the game is great and it's very easy to take almost every aspect of the game and edit it using Lua scripts and other easily editable files. I'd love to somehow get a hold of the source code of the game and see what it's written in, and continue its development as a hobby project.

Whilst I'm giving this a positive review, there is very little to actually do in the game itself -- But I feel the developer deserves some support. There's a lot of negativity in the reviews here and some of them are pretty harsh and said with no investigations or evidence. Really, it's not about the money for this guy -- He didn't get much to begin with, and the sales for the game never improved. It's more about "He worked on one thing then went on to do other things in life", which is something absolutely anyone who has ever started any project in life will do at least once. This developer was fortunate enough to get his game all the way to Steam, through the OG days of Greenlight when votes weren't rigged. I'd say, for a small scale project he just wanted to work on because he had a good idea, that he got pretty successful for a man with no team and no financial backing.

Update: The developers have greatly enhanced the vehicle designing process and it's a huge improvement. Highly recommend this game, with the latest updates.

As it stands the game is brilliant good fun, runs amazingly well and looks brilliant with lots of great effects (wheel tracks, physics based movement), but the entire unit design process is unbearably slow. The developers have clearly made the unit factory to be a visually cool thing, but practically unfeasable to design any units quickly or effeciently. It's a difficult process to design a unit that looks decent, and moves well without tipping over. And you can forget about building any large scale or tanky armor-plated vehicles unless you want your factory to be building individual blocks for the next 5 minutes.

The amount of time spent waiting for the game to load or for turns to end is triple the amount of time I spent actually doing anything. This game is broken, at least on the multiplayer -- which is the only reason to even buy this game in the first place. If you want a good single player Gal Civ, play 2. This game is just a mess and I can't even get a refund due to how long it took to even try loading a saved game to resume a multiplayer session after the several times it kept locking up and not ending the turns.
