i dont know why im writing this, activision clearly wont see it since they genuinely probably can care even lesser for player feedback more than they could care less for the game, i had fun in dmz for a little bit, im almost prestige 1 and all i can say is that this is a sad mess, cheaters plague the game, i got kicked out of a match for "server errors" or something, then suddenly logged out at one point making me have to entirely restart the game and re-quene for another match
I use linux, but duel boot windows, i played this on windows

ive been loving this game so much
but there are soo many issues, bugs, and crashing problems in this game, like the devs just neglect it
the engine is still as horrible as it was in 2015, if not way worse, this game would be in such a better spot if bethesda didnt hire script-kiddies for devs
crashing in the main menu, crashing as soon as the game starts up, crashing when i load into the game, disconnecting from the servers, are we still in 2018??

Everyones explained it already, i dont see a reason to write a big review if gearbox isnt gonna read it WHILE giving any care to it, but whatever
If your someone whos looking for a game to play, this is definitely not it unless you dont care about the main story and more for side content, id say this is an okay game to get i guess? personally, this game has the best side quests out of every other games, but definitely not for the price, not even on sale even, this game feels like it will die for you after just your first or second playthrough, gearbox shows obvious neglect for the game and everyone thats bought the game while posing like they care for the player base. most enemies so far from what ive seen, are just reskins with different voicelines, but no originality, in the new dlc, scavs are just reskined rippers from the base game, and the lost legion, only like a few new original enemies. the gunplay personally for me sometimes, feels a little more stale, the guns look the same no uniqueness like bl3 and previous games had. legendaries dont feel like theyre own thing at all. i cant really say this is actually a game you'd want to just repeatably grind mindlessly really, bosses dont fell unique at all, only some of them are theyre own thing, and like 95% of them dont even have a cool cinamatic to get you interested, they just spawn in, one boss in a bunker under a side quest you can find, has a cool backstory and a purpose, then when you go fight him, hes just a generic synth you've fought billions of times before. the optimization of the game is worse than the game itself, bl3 runs great on linux, better than windows even, but bl4, its so terrible, you pretty much HAVE to use a mod on nexus mods, and on linux, the game eventually just looks so bad, moving pixels like your gpu is dying when using framegen or any type of ai upscaling, the framerate feels so unstable even with decent 1% lows even, to the point i have to use windows just for remotely any good performance, in news posts gearbox when it comes to performance and optimization, says "we take this matter seriously" and other buzzwords to mearly TRY and give you ANY hope of the game actually running good at all on decent hardware like a 3060 on a modern i5 intel cpu. they give you an open world thats super empty too, nothing fun to explore, and invisible barriers and walls that block you from spots that you could just climb over or a surface ontop you could get to if you went around the WHOLE map just to get to, your given a grappling tool to grapple around ONLY on spots specifically set to show you where you have to go or just small bits of mobility, a hoverpack and the ability to double jump just to get you on a pathway to a quest or just combat, no exploration in the game is at all entertaining or fun to do, theres barely any environmental story telling and theres not from what ive seen, ANY echo logs out there that are not marked on the map, you should be encoraged to explore and learn things about the world your on, not TOLD where to go.
ive experienced buyers regret, but not as harshly as pre-ordering borderlands 4 just because i loved the franchise and felt they'd actually improve off of bl3's story, but i was super wrong.
if your thinking about getting any future gearbox content, not like something like half life opposing force, where they actually cared, just remember, gearbox cares more about money, rather than their public standing and games

's alright, needs still a lot of work, more free heists at least maybe like 2 and some new outfits that are not just recolored versions of previous outfitsto add more variety and less dlc focused, still some big bugs
