This game feels like doing the same thing over and over which is walking through sewers and old buildings. The controls are a mess and the story, which was sold to me like the greatest story of all time, is just the most covered and covered again and again pandemic / zombie story where people turn but there's a miracle someone who is immune and we have to get her to an hospital so we can make a vaccine out of her.

Also (spoilers) Joel is an ass to Ellie the whole game which ruins the mood because Ellie just takes stray bullets from him. Her behavior never justifies that he's like that to her, and at the end he's like oh Ellie I need to save you ! And just kills everyone, then lies to her about what he did and credits roll. What a mess I didn't like a single second of it.

Also it's poorly optimized and crashes with the last nvidia drivers.

This game was very good. Great test chambers where you have to actually think to resolve them. No super tight timings or super precise jumps or things like that. The chambers feel like the ones in Portal 2, well done. I'm also surprised by how good the test chambers with only one portal in our hands are.

This game also introduces cool new mechanics. Story and voice acting are great as well.

This game has the best and most polished stories I've ever played. Atmosphere is amazing and the whole game really keeps you on tenterhooks until the end.

Excellent game

Main pros :
- Stunning with everything maxed out
- Great characters
- Great dialogues
- Great length, took me 12 hours to complete the game while still missing some items
- Great story and twists
- Lots of humor

There are no puzzles, everything in this game consists of super precise timed jumps that will make you feel nauseous. Each level feels like a chore, when finished you're glad it's over.
There are also turret traps which are only annoying and not challenging or fun.

Regarding performance, I get 90-100 fps with a 4080, and it looks like G Sync doesn't work well with this game. There is also a lot of flickering in white lights, during loading screens, and sometimes after loading a save I can see in transparency what I was looking at before loading a save.

The game doesn't save automatically much, so several times I died near the end of a level only to be brought back at the beginning of it.

This doesn't feel like portal at all, I do not recommend.

I was hesitating if I would recommend this game or not. I chose to not recommend it.

First let's address the positive things
- Great level design, the levels are fun to run around
- Stunning visual and lights, especially with RTX
- The Ghostrunner we play as is really good to play with
- Cybervoid was fun for me and the skills we learn are fun as well
- Voice acting and dialogue was great
- Soundtrack is awesome

Now, the negative part and what ruined the game for me
- The enemies

And that's pretty much it. You are running in a level, enjoying a great pace and having a feeling of going forward with the story and level, but then you encounter enemies, and the game becomes a die and retry. You lose all your pace, restart a lot of times while trying to change your strategy, and it becomes annoying really fast.

Some combat zones are so hard I sometimes gave up and closed the game. The difficulty also becomes greater as you progress the game. Enemies become shielded, more types of them appear, and everyone shoots at you at the same time.
And you die after taking only one bullet, which is really what kills the fun for me.

It's not fun running around and then dying again and again and again, and having to start everything back to the beginning.

Also, when you leave the game you restart at the very beginning of the level you're at, which is really annoying.

The game would have been a lot greater with a "no enemies" mode where we could just appreciate the level design and run around to the top of the tower.

I'm writing this nearing the end of the game and I don't know if I will finish it or not.

I feel like finishing a level is like finishing a chore, you're more like "I'm happy it's over" than "I enjoyed this" and if I finish it one day I'm sure I will think "I'm glad it's over" more than "man I'm sad I finished this game".

Another Valve game that revolutionized a genre forver.

Absolute masterpiece

This game is great. it offers a different experience from usual puzzle games and playing with the perspective is fun. It also has a wholesome ending.
