There's not many games that truly deserve the title of a masterpiece. To me, a masterpiece (as far as games are concerned) is something that is unaffected by the passage of time, you can always fire it up and enjoy it as you did on day one of getting your hands on it!

Left For Dead is not just another zombie game, it is THE ULTIMATE zombie game with a formula that is unmatched by so called FPS zombie shooters released in this day and age where technology has expanded. Without going into much details, I'll briefly explain what sets this game above all others.

What makes this game God tier?

- Deceptively simple controls
- Incredible level design (for the most part)
- An AI director that procedurally generates things, changes the game; allowing for high replayability
- The music is absolutely LEGENDARY, seriously folks, it doesn't get any better
- The tone and atmosphere is nailed to utmost perfection, seriously, everything falls into place and is relevant to each level
- The voice acting is awesome and the characters are all memorable and we actually care about them

There's so much to be said about L4D2 but all this talk is useless, you must play the game to find out. You won't be disappointed

When Half-Life (the original game) was originally released in 1998, it was an instant success and if you've played it and still haven't tried Half-Life 2, well, let's just say; your time has come again.

The most notable thing in Half-Life 2 is the gravity gun, which can function as an indirect weapon or a source of utility.

The source engine by Valve, brought along interactable physics objects and a ton of nifty features, which at the time of release, were incomparable to any other games or game engine capability.

The result of this, combined with gun-play, provides an action filled campaign that's both immersive and mystifying.

The game does not feature a lot of weapons from the original Half-Life, and this forces players to utilize the gravity gun more often and allows your combat situations to be better approached without spraying and praying.

It isn't always about running and gunning or spraying and praying, because you have to solve quite a few puzzles in order to attain level progression.

I've become fond of puzzles / brain-teasers and learn to appreciate them more in games.

Portal is no different, and it's no quick walk in the park either, all of which makes it a great game.

Seeing that it doesn't patronize players by didactic, that sets a fair challenge for newer players.

Though most of recommendations are well thought out, this one was a no-brainer.

Grab it as well the other titles in the complete "Valve" pack bundle, during a major Steam Sale!

I love that this game does not patronize its players, and has one simple goal.

MAKE IT TO THE END WITHOUT CRASHING!

An asset to this game is community created levels and i'm glad that the developers allowed players to have that much leeway in sharing their levels.

If there's one rhythm-based platforming game you must have, it's definitely GD.

This game features some awesome soundtracks. DJVI's "Can't Let Go" will always be stuck in my head.

I thought i purchased this game solely for the purpose of GMOD textures.

I ended up being wrong, for all of the right reasons, because this game pulled me in.

I wasn't there during the golden ages of Counter-Strike but i'm glad i got to experience it in this day and age where technology evolved ever so slightly.

The franchise itself had its humble beginnings with Half-Life and evolved into what it is.

Global offensive is what the evolution of Counter-Strike is but this game built the foundation for it.

Old version: https://pastebin.com/vYzcik3V

I had to edit this review since my opinions changed. Spiral Knights is a master-piece with unique OST and an art-style surrounding game-play that befits a master-piece.

This is a game that's truly worth experiencing in your life-time before it actually "dies". Regardless of the fact that there's probably never going to any [signficant] content updates, you should feel compelled to install this game and give it a try.

The early-game is quite frankly just boring and requires a lot of grind but in the end, you'll truly experience what the game has to offer and you'll find yourself getting hit by nostalgia when you decide to actually put the game down.

To say it had an influence on the FPS genre would be a huge understatement.

Steam, and countless source engine games, exist because of this one game.

Valve had an ambition, to create, to set a trend, and it did more than just that.
