So far, so great. To me, it feels like a mix of Fable (world, atmosphere), Morrowind (atmosphere) and Dark Souls (gameplay elements, lack of handholding), with survival elements sprinkled all over the place.

This game is exactly what I tried to change Skyrim into using mods, but without the hassle of modding! The fact that I can also go in blind makes it even better.

This is one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. It basically is one big game of Cluedo, where you have to piece together what happened on an East India Company ship's journey. Early hints may be relevant when solving the last pieces of the puzzle. Additionally, the graphics and sound design is gorgeous. Although I did have some trouble identifying some of the characters, partially due to the pixel art used.

Highly recommended for fans of puzzle and mystery games.

For fans of horror and slower paced gameplay reminiscent of old-school point-and-click adventures. Most puzzles are pretty straightforward, but there were a few that had me scratching my head. Some of them are very original. Overall, a solid 20-hour game - well worth the full price.

Played two episodes. When I came back for the third one, my savegame was just gone (seems to happen to more people at random moments as well). Including the other technical issues this game has (it does run ♥♥♥♥ on all systems), I just can't recommend it. This is actually a bummer, since the story seemed to be quite ok. The universe differs from the movies (old and new), but provides some nice takes on the characters.

Terrible grammar/punctuation and an inconsistent story. Not recommended.

Although the conversations are sometimes poorly executed, the overall feel of this game is amazing. Gameplaywise it is similar to games like Beyond Two Souls (Quantic Dream) and The Walking Dead (Telltale Games). I love it!

Edit: After playing episode 2 I am far less convinced. I hope it will get me hooked again in the third episode. Review will be updated in time.

Edit: Episode four and five make it a recommendation for me. Not the greatest game I have played, but the story is definitely worth a playthrough.

Only to be recommended if you want to have a good time with a friend. There are some hilarious moments to be experienced (e.g. scripted police cars arriving at full speed and colliding with their own people who happen to walk there). Apart from a short (less than five hours on hardest difficulty), mediocre co-op experience, there is not much more to be had in this game.
