The story is exactly the kind of story I like.

Excellent game.

This is one of the best games I've played in a while. It gripped me right to the end. It's a fun mix of Tomb Raider and the Uncharted games with some influences from the Metroid Prime games and Dark Souls series but with a great Star Wars feel. Difficulty feels pretty good on the hardest setting but I did end up turning it down a notch about halfway through as the combat was getting annoying due to enemies hitting me even while dodging properly and I wanted to enjoy my time spent with the game instead of restarting over and over. The souls influence is basically bonfires, having to go get your experience back from enemies if you die and a bit of the combat. It's a very light amount of Souls inspiration so don't worry too much if you didn't really like the Souls games. If you love Star Wars this is a pretty good game to play for sure. More hardcore Star Wars fans, which I am not, probably have their nitpicks with this but as a casual fan this game just pulled me right in. The story seemed well paced but somewhat short for a $60 game. I was able to get 24 hours out of this game by exploring everything and not just rushing through the story. I could probably get an hour or two more out of the game if I wanted to 100% it. You do download this on Steam but it requires you to install and sign into Origin. I did encounter a few bugs such as enemies flying into the air randomly, being respawned over nothing and falling to my death over and over until my health hit 0 and various animation glitches. None of these were annoying enough to ruin the game for me and I actually got a good laugh out of a few of them. The main issue I had was that my game kept stuttering to the point of being unplayable after the game patched. After trying a bunch of different things I found a post on Google that mentioned a wireless controller issue so I tried disconnecting my Xbox One controller from bluetooth and connecting it wired. This fixed the stuttering almost completely. There were still micro stutters but you could tell it was when the game loaded into a new area which is common with a lot of games.

Pros:
-Lightsaber customization
-Interesting story
-Fun gameplay
-Decently rewarding exploration
-Decent amount of unlockables
-Lots of interesting lore

Cons:
-Requires Origin
-Wonky animations
-Stuttering
-Unlockable skills don't do much to change your combat style
-Only 4 planets
-Relatively short story for the price
-Most unlockables for the MC are ponchos and I would have liked to see more than just ponchos

Overall I'd give this game a 7 out of 10 just because I feel like it would have to be a bit longer with some more things to do and more unlockables to get an 8 or 9.

True to the originals except for a few of the character designs. There is also a bug where you slide around if you play above 120fps. That aside if you were a fan of the original trilogy then this is a must buy.

10/10 Nice replacement for Harvest Moon.

10/10 Amazing chest ahead.
