Back in 2022, r/place was announced to come back, and I was excited for this because I've never actually been able to participate in it back in 2017 due to the fact I was 12 years old.

A little backstory before that though. At the time, I owned an account called u/pyroplaycrosscodepls. It started out when I noticed a girl, named u/pyroshouldplay1shot, kept posting daily onto the r/pyrocynical subreddit a picture of Niko in order to get Pyrocynical to play the game. So I decided to copycat it with my own favorite game called Crosscode. It was okay. I actually got to know her a little bit and once switched places for a day. So there was a little trust and respect that I built with the Oneshot community basically.

Anyways, so April 1st comes around and I noticed that the Crosscode community wasn't going to make it there without some help. Since I knew the Oneshot community pretty good by the time we reached this day, I decided to become an ambassador for the Crosscode community. I found somebody who made a pixel art of lea (sorry, I forgot their name) and told them to talk to the Oneshot guys. And then the decision was made for a collab.

This is how you can now find Lea with Niko in the final shot of Place 22. I like to think that without all those events that led up to me becoming the ambassador, there wouldn't be such a thing as Lea with Niko. Thank you for reading this, this story means a lot to me.
