Fantastic game set in an amazing world. Plot and gameplay is fantastic and heavily Bioshock inspired. If you loved playing the Bioshock Trilogy, you'll absolutely love playing this. Can't wait to continue the trilogy.

t's challenging, frustrating, and sometimes downright rage worthy, but it's not unfair. It just needs a few more attempts. Fantastic game, worth it for the challenge.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Hotline Miami 2 is a hard game. However, like the original, the game is not unfair. There are multiple ways to complete each level, and each is equally rewarding when you finally finish the level you've been stuck on for 15 minutes. The gunplay is simple, but the biggest problem with the game are the dogs. The dogs have tiny hitboxes, and sometimes the character, when punching, will pick them up and kill them rather than just punching them, which can cost you a few runs. Otherwise, the game is fantastic and definitely worth picking up.

I purchased Hotline Miami at the recommendation of one of my good friends, and by god was it worth it. The combination of the soundtrack, simple controls, and challenging gameplay is reminiscent of Superhot to me, another game I recently completed.

Hotline Miami is a simple top down 2D shooter with one goal: Kill Everyone. The game opens up with little story, a phone call, and then the player is put directly into the action. The controls are tight and responsive, and the gameplay is exciting. Although it can be frustrating, putting in the time to memorize the enemy patterns pays off once you finally complete the level you've been stuck on for the past 50 lives. One complaint is that some of the masks are very clearly better than others, and one you get early (Tony) seems to suffice for the entirety of the game, leading the player to not vary up their playstyle when simple punches can kill enemies with ease. The game, with bonus levels, takes about 5 hours, but can vary depending on your experience (for reference, I don't play many singleplayer games). The game also crashed two or three times, which is a huge pain because when you reload the level, it puts you back at the beginning of the chapter, not the stage.

The soundtrack is another amazing addition to the game, backing the quality game with a whole new level that keeps you excited to continue trying. The music is fantastic, and I recommend buying the soundtrack along with the game (which Steam convieniently bundles with both entries in the series).

Overall, Hotline Miami is a fantastic introduction to indie singleplayer games, and is definitely worthwhile to people looking to pick up a quick game that's worth the time and money.

Duck Game is a great arcade game that you can pick up quickly and run on almost any computer. It's easy to learn how to play, and can provide you with many hours of fun: provided you have friends to play it with. The weapons are varied, and the one shot one kill mechanic provides for some funny moments that can't be found in many other games. The controls are simple, and can be played with one hand.

However, there are some drawbacks. Some of the maps are not well done, and certain spawns heavily favor one player versus another. I wish there was a catalog to show players what each weapon does, but currently players have to figure out what each one does through trial and error, some of which could cost them time and turn them off the game. The arcade mode is interesting but shallow, and doesn't translate much to playing with friends. The item system is a cool gimmick, but the leveling system is unncecessary and detracts from the charm of the game.

Overall, this game is worth the money, but only when you have others to play it with and can join them in call for a few laughs. You will most likely only play the multiplayer, but when you do this game provides an experience that can't be replicated easily.

Now, I'm not a big fan of singleplayer games. Having grown up on classics such as Super Smash Bros Melee and dumping hundreds of hours into TF2, I considered myself a multiplayer gamer only. However, after receiving this game from the March Humble Bundle, and hearing about it from VideoGameDunkey in one of his E3 videos, I decided to try it out to see if I would be interested in widening my horizons and playing all types of games.

Owlboy is a superb platformer that has amazing music to go along with it. I've found myself sitting around in one place and not dashing through the game to just listen to the incredible soundtrack that they've included as part of the base game. I also debated picking up the soundtrack, because it is truly serene and deserves to be listened to in focus. Even if the gameplay wasn't great, I would still recommend this game purely for the beautiful soundtrack that the developers have matched perfectly with the relaxed setting of the ame.

Owlboy's gameplay is incredibly simple, but also retains a challenging aspect at the same time. My one main gripe with the game is that some enemies and bosses (specifically the Floating Continent Boss) are difficult to figure out how to defeat without resorting to the Internet, but otherwise the gameplay is smooth and comfortable, and works effortlessly with a mouse and keyboard. The dodging is a bit iffy, but the shooting and switching of characters allows the player to take the game at their own pace, and enjoy the surroundings and enemies while they do so.

The developers definitely deserve praise for the work they have put into the game, and it is well worth the $25 price tag. I hope to see more games from this company, as this game may have single-handedly fostered a love in me for the singleplayer game industry, and I believe that it will do so for others like me,
