I think there's something truly beautiful in the way that this game has organically brought together what may be the most effective private army in internet gaming, one strong enough to make even Somy change a corporate decision.

And I'm doing my part!

I love how having this game in my recently played list makes my steam toolbar menu 10 inches wide

Bandai/Namco, pulling the plug: Gunevo, if you can hear me, blame this on the misfortune of your birth!

Was genuinely a fun game at its core. Developer love could definitely be seen in how even the deep cut MS would still have interesting and unique kits that received constant balance up until the very end. Unfortunately, greedy microtransactions, season pass grindset progression style, and painfully limited reach meant a far swifter death than it deserved. I hope there's some plan to take the concept further, because it'd be kinda sad if this was how all this work ended.

Chess with giant robots, but instead of you having a team of chess pieces, it's your anime mecha against the world. The developer is clearly dedicated to making this the best game it can be, and it shows with the continuous improvements to both the user experience and the actual story being told. There's definitely going to be many more improvements to the game, but even as it stands now, Lone King is absolutely a far more impressive game than it might look.

A boomer shooter infused with the best of modern movement shooters, Ultrakill proves that it belongs at the top of Steam's ratings with gameplay that builds upon itself, a compelling yet wildly ridiculous story, and even more to come as the game continues to be developed.

I want to love this game, and will unfortunately probably continue to put hours into it, but it's sadly just the shambling soulless husk of the Battlefield franchise. It's fundamentally broken, significantly lacking in many of the core teamplay elements of the series, and a grim reflection of the current AAA game industry.

(update June 2022) S1/Zero Hour is a step in the right direction, mostly in the map design department. Exposure feels like a BF3/4 map, reminiscent of Rogue Transmission or Zavod 311. But it doesn't feel right to be getting what seems to be the bare minimum in content. Exposure is beautiful, but at least port some more old maps to Portal/Exodus Conquest?

(Pre-Steam playtime on origin: 162 hours)

While this definitely holds the title for Most Overrated "Most Underrated Game Of All Time", Titanfall 2 is a genuine masterpiece on all fronts. The singleplayer story hardly misses a beat, and delivers a more impactful and emotionally gripping story than many games released today. The multiplayer, servers willing, is constant high-speed fun, and still has the most replayable progression system I've ever seen. The regeneration system alone keeps me changing up my multiplayer playstyle, and while some powerful weapons and titans are the king of the unchanging meta, picking something new always reaps rewards.

Someone's told you you should play this game by now- it's probably time to listen to them.

runs better on steam than it did on origin (unless you have too many steam friends)

Fun, engaging mechanics make for the best starfighter simulator since before I was born.
