Remember how mind blowing Portal 2 was? Play this one to be mind blown again.
Clues scattered around one of the most user friendly and advanced, solar system and gravity simulation engines ever put into a game. A thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying experience. It's all unique; zero tropes. Space exploration done right.

I bought this game to test out a gpu and walk around a cool city. I haven't played any other CDPR games, GTA5, and had no overwhelming hype walking in. From my perspective, my expectations were far exceeded and the game was most definitely worth the purchase. Note that a lot of the negative reviews have preconceptions related to what is listed above.

Mind boggling love and detail was put into crafting this world. The characters, voices, and visuals all blend perfectly together. The city alone makes it well worth the price. Even at the 1080p low graphics with my 40ish fps (gtx 970). I started with the Streetkid origin and haven't encountered any bugs which halt progression 20 hours in. The most disappointing thing I've encountered so far was my failure to properly console a man about his pet turtle which passed away. He later kicked the bucket and I had no previous save.

Incredible.

The environments feel so natural.
The visuals and emotions you feel while walking around city 17 really make you feel like you've stepped into another world. The zen species is pretty and terrifying. Objects are often destroyed, but it all feels believable. Some events don't happen chronologically all the time; sometimes you have you look around, and suddenly the solution will appear, whether it's a literal change in the environment or an idea comes to you. You seem to play with physics like the other valve games, but it's on a whole new level and feels naturally ingrained within the environment.

The story.
The ending is completely unpredictable even hours into the game, yet you always have a set goal in mind as you explore. What you are expecting to find at the end of your journey continues to shift to different expectations until you open your last doorway, and in the end you are just as surprised as the protagonist at what you find. The story links up perfectly with the other games as well.

You are rewarded for exploring.
You never know what you can interact with and what you cannot, and often you can not only find useful resources but some comical hidden dialogue that could have been easily missed. The environments are just fun to look at as well.

Gameplay.
VR is significantly more difficult to navigate, interact, and shoot with, but the complexity is what makes VR fun. The amount of enemies has been scaled down significantly with the other half life games to balance out the difficulty of VR. Your character is also feels much more vulnerable and weaker; if you're careless a single enemy can take all of your life down within seconds if you're standing out in the open. It really seems like the enemies you're fighting have just as much health as yourself, therefore you better be shooting a lot of fast, accurate bullets or hiding behind an object to reload your weapons. The need to strategize is a good thing though.

This game is a lot of fun to play solo, but could use a little work on its multiplayer capabilities.
Its randomized events, encounters, and weapons keep it fresh every playthough. Don't be suprised to meet Gordon Freeman
in the middle of the zombie apocalypse.
New or extended music would make a nice addition; the music, especailly the main menu music, can be a little repeptitive.

You can Pretty much never get tired of this game. You can join any server, and servers can have completly custom maps or models. And if you get tired of the server, you can just find a new one. There are so many diffrent gamemodes and even custom ones, like surfing or pyro dodgeball. There are also tons of wepons. You could be using a sign, or maybe you can hit people with a fish. And so many hats and trading and crafting and much more. I would say this is the perfect multiplayer game.
