A beautiful game, beautiful mechanics, and a lovely story with great plot twists that plays with your emotions and makes risky decisions that may or may not work out. I liked it and even rate it a level higher than the first game. No other game bets on a story like this, a perfect game with a story overloaded with emotions.

the best immersive post-apocalyptic game that i played. underrated masterpiece

A more dynamic and fun gameplay than the first one, with new mechanics, dynamic music, more movements and elements to use in parkour, new events in the open world, new types of infected, better graphics, and an interesting story that had the potential to surpass Dying Light 1 by letting you make choices that affect both the story and the open world... but the execution didn’t help much. Still, it doesn’t disappoint either.

As for bugs, I only ran into voice lines that don’t fully play, got stuck two or three times in a random corner, and sometimes enemies get bugged with objects like boxes. It could be worse. The soundtrack was good—obviously, it doesn’t beat the iconic OST of the first game, but I can highlight some really good tracks.

Regarding the open world, this sequel offers new events, such as infiltrating locations (either stealthily or not) to search for supplies, liberating zones in a Far Cry style, and choosing which faction to grant control over them. In return, the factions reward you by adding new features to the world, like electric traps, ziplines between buildings, machine-gun crossbows in different areas of the map, and more.

This game was close to living up to the first one, but unfortunately, the story wasn’t executed well. I mean, I found this story more interesting than the first one, but the way they tell it doesn’t quite convince me. You only start noticing more effort in cinematics in the last 3-4 missions of the game.

As a fan of Dying Light 1 (190 hours played), I can recommend this sequel because I think the gameplay is more fun and dynamic, there are more things to do in the open world, and you can get more out of it than the first game. However, I have to say it’s not as excellent as the first one in terms of storytelling, but it is definitely more fun. I still have to finish the DLC and go for the platinum, so I’ll update this review once I’m done with that.

Masterpiece of a video game, masterpiece of open world, masterpiece on everything.
Nothing more to say, it deserved the goty and much more.
No game can top this game until Rockstar's next release: GTA VI.
