A charming game. Controls are fluid. Combat is fun. I'm enjoy the story thus far, though I've made it to the hospital.

Very addicting. All about optimizing spell combos and planning the best route to maximize a particular resource for a particular situation. Many subsystems interacting with one another - a very high amount of game per game.

An excellent sequel that improves on the original in every way. And the original was already great.

I'm a Slay the Spire vet, and I think this game is absolutely amazing. Others of its type haven't lived up to Spire, but this one does. The soundtrack is amazing. The mechanics and synergies are very interesting. I personally love the art style. It kind of gives me Magic the Gathering meets Warhammer 40k vibes.

I've been playing on Covenant 25 (which is this game's equivalent of Ascension 20 in Spire). Maybe it's easier. I haven't decided yet. There's so much more to learn. It's one of those "Learn it in a few minutes, master it in a few hundred/thousand hours" deals.

If you're into strategy games and deckbuilders, I can't recommend this game highly enough.

Story is like 3/10.

For me, this is the closest a game has ever come to perfection. The music, design, story, and mechanics are excellent. The controls are extremely responsive. The boss fights are fair, if very challenging. I haven't had this much genuine fun with a game in a long time.

More drills than an episode of Home Improvement.

Also 9/10, you can solo but friends make everything better.

I thought it was overpriced at first, but after realizing how much work goes into creating brand new models for each and every ship, station, and space thing in the game, I thought it was fair.

For real, though, this is the best space 4x I've ever played. The military route is fully fleshed out, dynamic, and interesting. Your ethea, traits, and neighbors actually matter. Everything matters.

Can't wait to see what they'll do with diplomacy and economy routes in the future. Right now they feel a little underdeveloped, but compared to the 4x games I came from, they're still way better. Alliances aren't made of paper, but they're not permanent and unbreakable either. All the resources are important. You cultivate your empire and help it grow. You don't feel like a mechanic tweaking everything in this game. You feel like a parent, a ruler, or a gardener. The game feels alive.
