Diablo II x Vampire Survivors

Best first-person 40k game there has been yet by a long way. Hopefully with some time in ongoing development it will become the game we've all been waiting for.

Hungry for additional classes but even as it is now there is a heap of variety - just a little lacklustre when it comes to talent/skill trees as we're currently limited to one subclass per class at launch, but it's clear this is temporary.

Combat and gore is great. Gunplay feels good; melee could feel a bit weightier but the variety of weapon/hit animations must be commended. The ragdoll physics performs well and the dismemberment (even of corpses) has been implemented excellently. The only thing I'm left wanting for is modelling of organs so that I can see them fly around when a grenade goes off, or my chainsword eviscerates someone. Only a 40k game could justify it, and it feels distinctly missing to me here.

Soundtrack doesn't just nail it - it takes it a step further into territory I didn't know a game could touch with its intensity and evocative soundscapes. First soundtrack I've ever bought, and I've been gaming for 30 years.
