I went away for a month and now the game/company is owned by the Chinese and everyone seems pissed. Apparently Tencent records voice chat and other questionable stuff, so probably not good news for the longevity of the title.

The game is expensive and very buggy. The harder difficulty settings cannot be completed without unlocking all of the cards and understanding the card system is key to being able to really play the game. Most players were using exploits like grenade dupes in order to complete the harder difficulty settings. Finding a decent team is also hard, most serious players use discord and not in-game MM, disabling cross-play is almost always required to have any real chance on harder modes.

The crowbcat video is also worth a watch, as it shows how much of a regression the game has been over L4D: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdRLN - particularly with the graphical elements.

A lot of people complained about the cringe dialogue and character stereotypes but it could be much worse. Overall I was enjoying the game in beta and when it came out, but replay value is low and the bugs really kill the fun. The takeover by Tencent and rapid drop in game price are also dead giveaways of a flop. Proceed with caution.

Early Access Review
This game is basically a Russian version of the first fall out game, but it is no where near as polished. Very basic gameplay and it feels almost lifeless. You'd be much better off buying Fallout 1/2.

Six years ago I received a copy of Mafia 2, completed it quickly and loved it. Almost 10 years before that I played Mafia 1 and also loved it. This game was really not worth the wait and like most other reviews for this game, all I can say is that the story is unique and the art work is pretty good but the game feels dated and it is rife with bugs. I actually feel like I'm playing more of a Ubisoft "rinse and repeat" kinda game (Watch dogs, assassins creed) instead of something like Grand Theft Auto.

The frame rate issue was very annoying but seems to have been fixed. The game runs OK in 4k. The music is class, you can tell that Pterodon had some influence here (they worked on Vietcong 1/2 etc). After this, I'm not going to pre-order a game no matter what kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bonuses you offer me. I'm quite disappointed.

For some reason I didn't leap to purchase this game, maybe because of some negative stigma around one of the older games in the series but I highly underestimated how good this game actually is. For a custom in-house engine this game looks amazing and could easily go up against the more common Unreal Engine or Crytech, etc. The engine is complemented by the incredible art-style which is all based around the original movies and really does make you feel like you're in one of them.

The game mechanics are all pretty well put together: interacting with different tools with different button combinations, various different UI controls and puzzles for bypassing security doors or using communication equipment, play movement and controls are pretty good too. The save system is also pretty innovative.

I absolutely love the Clock-Tower feel of being chased around the space dock with my movement sensor, it's not only challenging but admittedly scary at times. The entire game also doesn't seem to lock you in much; You feel as though you can retrace all of your previous steps and go back to areas you couldn't access because you didn't have the correct tools or security access. It leaves much to the imagination and makes you want to explore the virtual environment more, it definitely has replay value.

I would really recommend picking up this game, it's definately something different with good replay value. Try it in the dark, alone, or with friends. I'd love to see The Creative Assembly work on some more Alien titles, this is really a masterpeice.

Just another generic overrated unrealistic WW2 shooter which adds nothing new to the genre. If you're a fan of typical god-like nazi-killer games like Medal of Honor or Wolfenstein then you may enjoy this, but it didn't wow me like the recent Wolfenstein release (I'm a big fan of that series).

I also ran into some technical issues: It crashed and wouldn't load the first level, it is set to window mode by default, the default mouse sensitivity is too high.

A great game, an absolute classic - Lucas Arts at its best.

I originally picked this game up when I was a kid and I've revisited it several times since. The artwork is good, the story line is unique, the music by Peter McConnell is absolutely class.

I'd recommend this to anyone who has played and enjoyed games like Monkey Island or anything by Double Fine.

The game has a lot of replay value and a lot of memorable characters - I've been waiting many years for this! Thanks doublefine!

The reviews for this game were pretty mixed, but I decided to pick it up anyway. I'm completely new to the Tex Murphy games and FMV games a whole. The only others I'd really seen were the phantasmagoria games and the handful of Wing-commander games in the same format, which were kinda like interactive movies.

This game is no different, but it was cool to see a dead genre reborn. The game was definately one for the fans, and you can tell a lot more work went into the FMV sequences rather than the game-play itself. The acting is very cheesy a lot of the time, just like most FMV games. For example, in at least two scenes, actors were supposed to be dead, but you could see them still breathing.

The puzzles in the game were pretty basic and the puzzle difficulty ranged tremendously throughout the game. Sometimes I had to use brute force to pass a puzzle, other times I managed to solve them very quickly.

With all this said, I still really liked the game and would happily buy and play a sequel. Hopefully we may also see other FMV games return in the future.

This is the Baulder's Gate, Fallout or Neverwinter Nights of Zombie Survivor Games - addictive and well executed. I was pretty disappointed with State of Decay due to it's endless random nature, but these guys got it right.

Unless you grew up with games like Fallout or Baulders Gate, these games may not be for you - Turn Based games are typically slow and take a long time to complete, but some, like myself, find this rewarding and fun. There is tons of action packed into this game and many choices to be made, you'll probably find yourself playing it multiple times.

With this said, the game still seems pretty buggy - I've had atleast 8 crashes within 48 hours, so save your game regularly. The game also lacks dialogue audio, so it means a lot of reading. You may also find some of the GUI confusing, I've had to google a few things, around the Job board, cars, healing and trading inventory.
