Crazy? I was crazy once. They put me in a room. A rubber room. A rubber room with rats. And rats make me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They put me in a room. A rubber room. A rubber room with rats. NieR: Automata...

A game like no other. A game that puts you through an emotional roller coaster just to be left as just a shell once the game hits its final words.

"Thank you... Thank you for playing". Those words hit like a boar once I reached them. Knowing that I've spent hours on this game, grinding for weapons, pod programs, archives, and endings, even getting to know the characters we play as, or the androids/robots around us, those couple words of gratitude sent me flying into the stratosphere.

This video game.. This particular one, created by the one Yoko Taro and his team made one of the best modern games we've known today. While not particularly great in the PC integration, or the level scaling, there are so many other things that overshadow these 2 very small minor things. For one; the story-line in this game creates a feel like no other. There were times in this game where I would just sit there in my chair after a particular event and just go... "wow. what just happened". Those moments left me astonished, but also helped me continue through the story because of its engagement.

Character design and work as goes hand in hand with the story. The characters add such depth to the story itself that it feels like you are right beside them as the game progresses. You see how they rise... how they fall.. and how each character develops in their own way. The way these androids and robots are manifested and shown create such an atmosphere which continues to draw you in to keep playing.

This game... is a game like no other. It's a game where after you finish, you can't help but to crave more from it and hope that their are other games just like this one. But after looking, and playing, you notice that other games are just not like this one.

That's what makes this game a masterpiece.
